So here is your first video of the season of good cheer, with a recreation of the spirit of Christmas past for The Wombats by their old chums Thirtytwo, featuring lots of eye-watering knitwear and an post-modern celebrity cameo by Les Dennis.
Actually it's a rather good start to all things festive.
A combination of the Wombats' proper indie pop songwriting and the old home-movie stylings of Is This Christmas get quite close to the reality of the whole business - a moment of excitement, followed by hours of tedium - until the boys decide to play with their presents.
