BUG 10: Autokratz’s Stay The Same by Laurie Thinot
London's squelchy electro-pop duo Autokratz gave young Paris-based animator Laurie Thinot the chance to lend her highly graphic sensibility to their top tune Stay The Same - and the result is marvellous.
Laurie riffs extravagantly on the subject of reproduction - with animation help from Gustavo Almenara. It's her first video since joining Partizan in the summer.
Having graduated from ENSAD in Paris in 2006, and creating animation sequences in Edouard Salier's promo for Jehro's I Want Love, Laurie's debut video, mixing animation techniques for Luke's La Terre Ferme, is excellent too.
