Wretch 32 worked with director Edem Wornoo on this epic 11-minute short film weaving tracks from his Little BIG Man project&nbsp; - a nine-track meditation on incarceration, violence and poverty - into a narrative about the cycle of reoffending, inner turmoil and home.Shot on location in London, the film explores themes of work, community and performance with scale and sensitivity.Last year, Wornoo was one of five unsigned British directors to win a place on <a href="https://threeminut.es/" target="_blank">Three Minutes</a> – Ground Work’s incubator scheme funding five music videos by rising talents.The scheme is produced in association with our production company Ground Work and made possible by Burberry, Shure and BFI NETWORK. The project has also received funding from the England European Regional Development Fund as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.

&ldquo;The narrative of the video is fairly straightforward, it&rsquo;s a look at a fleeting relationship between a girl and Yannick (Petite Noir)&rdquo; explain Tim &amp; Joe on the promo to Petit Noir&rsquo;s Noirse &ndash; shot at Rowan&rsquo;s Bowling Alley in London. &ldquo;At the start of filming I tried not to stage too much where possible.&ldquo;Yannick and Maria, the leading lady, didn&rsquo;t know each other and both hadn&rsquo;t acted before. So a lot of the moments we captured were real instances of the two getting to know each other. With the crew present in these early stages we developed an understanding of the couples chemistry. This helped give us an understanding of the style of relationship they might have and gave us a good idea of the mood to set for the film.&ldquo;We chose locations that had one main thing in common. That was the type of lighting that was mixed or coloured. Marcus did a great job capturing the scenes handheld in these places with a small crew and minimal lighting. The club location Ryan the commissioner found, its actually a shed in someone&rsquo;s garden that has been converted into a club.&ldquo;That was the final location we shot and after two days with a great team it was a mad place to finish the shoot&rdquo;.
