Musical trio The FaNaTix have launched the official video for their dynamic track Vroom, directed by FILFURY and co-directed by Charlie Sarsfield.The track features on the Gran Turismo 7 soundtrack and the turbo-charged film - which showcases some of the world’s most expensive cars - perfectly embodies the excitement and speed of the franchise.Speaking about his experience directing the video, FILFURY comments: “VROOM – what an incredible project to bring to life and steer to the finish line….SKRRRRT!! A bad boy tune that demanded bad boy visuals. The FaNaTix made a banger. How else do you visualize a song about the sickest vehicles in the world, other than by creating an image palette rich in color, texture, adrenaline and, most importantly, cars with attitude. I wanted the images to bounce to the beat, bring the energy levels up and throw in some wheel-spin burnouts for good vibes.”[imgtoken data:1]The video was a global production, shooting six artists across three cities (LA, London and Lagos) and marks FILFURY's first project at Untold Studios. Nathan James Tettey channels a powerful grime superhero concept in his video for Ghetts' team-up with Stormzy on Skengman - with a little help from&nbsp;RUFFMERCY.Tettey weaves the charismatic performance of the two artists - with Ghetts in his Ghetto persona - into a narrative of stylised violence and retribution, delivered in a stark monochromatic vision akin to the darkest of superhero action movies, or Frank Miller's Sin City series.Cameo appearances by D Double E, Mist, Shaybo, and martial artist Michael 'Venom'&nbsp;Page also contribute to the idea of an alternative&nbsp;league of superheroes emerging on dangerous streets to protect the city - and this is sealed by a wonderful edit by Ollie Paxton, and work by the VFX team at Untold Studios.&nbsp;The final graphic flourish by the inimitable Russ Murphy aka RUFFMERCY completes the job. Having won an UKMVA for the video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2020/07/15/ghetts-ft-jaykae-moonchild-sannelly-mozambique-ruffmercy/66568" target="_blank">Ghetts' Mozambique</a>, his contribution on the third video for the rapper's highly anticipated new album Conflict Of Interest adds an understated element of comicbook-style fantasy&nbsp;to what is an already very strong piece. Directing trio Crowns &amp; Owls transport Octavian to a surreal wonderland in the hypnotic visual for Poison, negotiating a world between love, lust... and something much darker.&nbsp;Utilising four cameras - including the FLIR thermal camera - the visual is a tapestry of experimental setups, each shot in a stylised, hyper-exaggerated way. Turning traditional rap videos on their head, performance is still very much the focus of the video, yet Kaname Onoyama's mind-bending cinematography adds a standout unique flair and polish.&nbsp;CROWNS &amp; OWLS:“It was rad to build a world around this tune, and to have had the trust from Octavian to try something we’re not really seeing in UK rap videos. There’s some really nice themes going on in the song, but we focused on playing with the central idea of lust and imagining that as a poisonous substance."Using a custom rig we were able to use a dual camera system; one capturing reality whilst the other was simultaneously capturing a thermal version of the same shot. This allowed us to seamlessly slip between two worlds as we’re following the artists through a fever dream."The video was shot just before the UK Covid-19 lockdown, with post happening remotely during quarantine. Hannah Marshall directs a powerful new music video for Iranian artist Gola, using the film as a&nbsp;rallying call to anyone that has ever defied those who have told them &#39;no&#39;.&nbsp;Gola had to leave her homeland in order to pursue a career in music, having been a member of&nbsp;Orchid, Iran&rsquo;s first girl group, who were banned from releasing music and whose female-only concerts were heavily patroled by morality police, so attendees were not permitted to dance or sing along. Now&nbsp;Gola uses her voice to bring awareness to Iran and the power of women in her country.&nbsp;And Marshall says her&nbsp;visual concept was&nbsp;conceived &ldquo;as an ode to female potency and empowerment. This individual and collective striving is central to the structure of the video.&quot;&nbsp;She adds: &quot;I focused on three zones of the body, each corresponding to a different form of communication: eyes (the gaze), mouth (the voice), and hands (the touch). The clothing both impresses upon and provides gateways of expression for the body. The lived experiences of women are complex and the debates around their bodies often highly charged and politicised.
