On one level director Maximilian Neimann&#39;s video for German rapper Kontra K&#39;s An Deiner Seite (Next To You) is a&nbsp;nailbiting Nordic Noir thriller. But it also happens to be much more. Unit 9 have created the first interactive music video where the user is invited to switch between two timelines - the past and present - to uncover clues to solve a murder mystery.&nbsp;It starts with a fisherman coming across a crime scene in the beautiful setting of a lake house, where he stumbles a weapon, a corpse, a blood-stained boat. But by tapping the space bar on the website, or simply tapping your smartphone, reveals the actual, quite terrifying events (in which Kontra K plays one of the protagonists).&nbsp;The video can be watched in linear format, or&nbsp;on a <a href="http://www.andeinerseite.video/" target="_blank">dedicated microsite</a>&nbsp;for the most optimal experience.&nbsp;As viewers investigate the crime scene, they are encouraged to tap their phone or press the spacebar on their keyboards. Viewers&nbsp;can choose to see the present (don&rsquo;t press space) or the past (press space).&nbsp;There are clues hidden in the video, but viewers must be clever enough to figure out when to look into the past and when to look into the present. They are given visual clues while they&rsquo;re watching the video so they know to look for a key moment. Depending on how many of them they find, the video can have three different endings.It&#39;s clever and unique, and what really makes it work is the standard to which its been achieved. You wouldn&#39;t care to know what happens if this wasn&#39;t dramatized to a high level, and from the location to the performances, the photography and the technology, its all here.

UNIT9 Films and director WVLFCVB have launched this 360&ordm; music video for Libratone, showcasing its brand new 360&ordm; speaker, which is designed to be placed in the centre of a room - and also a promo for Sigma&#39;s track Nightingale, where the scenarios were dreamt up by Sigma fans.&nbsp;Stemming from the idea that global fans would create house parties around the Libratone speaker system, fans were cast through social media and given the task of coming up with a set-up for the film. The best entries were filmed and made it into the final piece.

UNIT9 Films brings a musically customised time travel Rube Goldberg machine to world-famous Abbey Road Studios to support IFPI&rsquo;s campaign #musicremains, which has high-level support from major labels.Commissioned by IFPI, which represents record labels worldwide, the 90 second film was created by UNIT9 Films director Martin Stirling and music industry creative director Steve Milbourne.The Rube Goldberg machine &ndash; built by London-based art directors Sets Appeal &ndash; showcases the ever-evolving music technologies which have been used to create some of the greatest music in history. Cascading through generations of pop classics, the chain reaction begins with a gramophone and ends with an iPad.East London MC and musician, Pepstar spits personalised lyrics about what recorded music means to him over a soundtrack that moves through some of the most iconic music tracks of the last 100 years.&nbsp;Featuring the likes of Abba, ColdPlay and Daft Punk the whole project was filmed in two days in Abbey Road&rsquo;s Studio No. 2 and took 48 takes&nbsp;before a successful one-shot wonder brought the experiment to life.No post production or other tricks&nbsp;were involved &ndash; this was all done for real. And that&#39;s what makes it a compelling watch, while Pepstar and the archive tracks compliment the visual message. UNIT9 reveal that hidden references feature throughout the video - music fans should keep a keen eye (and ear) out...
