Swedish producer Alesso has released I Wanna Know, paired with a fitting narrative video&nbsp;directed by&nbsp;Colin Tilley,&nbsp;which follows an unusual unrequited love story.It takes place on the set of a movie or video starring Alesso, located in a classic American diner - but centres on&nbsp;Alesso&rsquo;s motorcycle&nbsp;stuntman. As the talented stunt rider arrives on set he catches the eye of the stunning female lead.&nbsp;Then it looks like he might be making a good impression on her&nbsp;as he&#39;s brought in for the action sequences and all the dangerous and tricky takes -&nbsp;including a painful&nbsp;motorcycle skid.But at the end of the day, it&#39;s&nbsp;Alesso who gets the&nbsp;final kiss...&nbsp;

Colin Tilley has created one of the videos of the year&nbsp;for Kendrick Lamar&#39;s Alright, a landmark work for the summer of 2015.&nbsp;It&#39;s an epic, nearly seven-minute long piece, featuring the&nbsp;exceptional&nbsp;cinematographic eyes of two DoPs - Rob Witt and Corey Jennings &ndash;&nbsp;and thrillingly high energy shots involving street parties,&nbsp;burning cars and&nbsp;joyrides of reckless abandon. We are immersed into&nbsp;Kendrick Lamar&#39;s hyperreal world, which casts the&nbsp;city as a bitterly oppressive environment that leads its residents to a life of&nbsp;vice,&nbsp;hussle and the pursuit of&nbsp;hope. But despite that, Lamar supplies irrepressibly&nbsp;positive energy.It&nbsp;begins with an intro exploring inner-city violence and subsequent police brutality, paired with&nbsp;his monologue&nbsp;shedding light on his past struggles with growing up in a&nbsp;ghetto,&nbsp;as well as&nbsp;his subsequent&nbsp;ethical struggles with becoming an influential figure. And the&nbsp;hopeful feeling Lamar is trying to capture&nbsp;is expressed in the exhilirating sequences&nbsp;where he&#39;s physically rising&nbsp;above the ground.This device&nbsp;doubly serves as a visual expression of&nbsp;feeling uplifted, away from your past struggles&nbsp;as well as a (perhaps unconscious)&nbsp;Christian symbol, which has him rising in a saintly manner away from temptation and sin.&nbsp;Then comes the&nbsp;finale, culminating in the strongest form of&nbsp;Christian symbolism around: that of tragic martyrdom.&nbsp;

This time, for American Oxygen, they present US history using stock footage of famous and infamous moments.&nbsp;&quot;We wanted to showcase both the positive and the negative,&quot; the directors have explained.&nbsp;&quot;The struggles within the country and the ones those outside the country face in coming here; the dark side of the positive and the light side of the negative.&quot;The Uprising Collective performed an exhaustive research to find the footage, which does&nbsp;an excellent job of highlighting the desperation of troubled immigrants chasing an&nbsp;American Dream in a country&nbsp;marred with problems of its own:&nbsp;strained race relations,&nbsp;poor social mobility and police brutality&nbsp;issues.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Ellis Bahl's video for Applying Myself by Only You - aka Rachel Fannan, former bandmember of psych rockers Sleepy Sun - is a low-key contrast to his other new video, the high concept triumph for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2012/11/20/walk-off-the-earth-red-hands-by-ellis-bahl/" target="_blank">Walk Off The Earth's Red Hands</a>. This is cinematic, in a domestic setting - a bit simpler in structure than his MVA-winning effort for Alt-J's Breezeblocks, but with a rather ingenious hook nonetheless.
Rachel got in touch with Ellis after seeing the Breezeblocks video, sending him Applying Myself and asking him if he was interested in making the video. After listening to this Ronstadt-esque slab of country-rock, he was delighted to get involved in this low-budget project. 
And so, late at night, after what looks like more than a few drinks at the homestead (decked out with jukebox and piano), Rachel sings along to her own song - on the karaoke machine...
