Legendary Icelandic band Sigur Rós have returned with their first single since the early 2010s - and the haunting 10 minute track&nbsp;Blóðberg is accompanied by a chilling film by Johan Renck.Although Renck's accomplishments in the music video medium are stellar - including the classic <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gKhjaGRhIYU" target="_blank">Pass This On&nbsp;video for The Knife</a>, Madonna's Hung Up and David Bowie's final two videos - the film is far closer in theme and spirit to his TV masterpiece, Chernobyl.&nbsp;It's a continuous tracking shot across an arid landscape, which it becomes evident, is littered with dead bodies. It&nbsp;is a CGI-created environment, but the implications are clear: this scene of devastation, this eco-horror, is where we are all heading.&nbsp;In a statement about his video, Renck has said, “I feel as nihilistic as one could regarding the future. We are powerless against our own stupidities. Some aspects of this came to merge with my impressions of the themes of Blóðberg.&nbsp;The music becoming a score to my own miserable thoughts, giving them beauty as only music can.”

A group of schoolchildren create their own ABBA homage in Sophie Muller's touching seasonal promo for Little Things.&nbsp;The track&nbsp;is a gentle reflection on the joy of Christmas morning and family time around this special time of year, and the proceeds from CD sales are going&nbsp;to Unicef&nbsp;to help&nbsp;support the&nbsp;Global Child Protection Fund.&nbsp;In the video, we see a dedicated and ambitious group of school-age children, many of whom in real life are close to (or even related to!) the creative team behind the groundbreaking Voyage concerts.[imgtoken data:1]This next generation of geniuses are inspired to create an ABBA Voyage ‘Christmas Special’, and embark with irrepressible enthusiasm on the enterprise of motion capture, choreography, costume design, stage lighting and band rehearsals, culminating with the arrival of parents and family members, to watch a convincing performance by the re-imagined ‘ABBA’, as the track draws to a close.&nbsp;Evoking a sense of traditional Christmas wonder, it's a charming concept and a perfect accompaniment to the group's iconic comeback.&nbsp;

Released on the eve of his 69th birthday, and the release of his new album, Johan Renck&#39;s video for David Bowie&#39;s Lazarus&nbsp;begins&nbsp;with&nbsp;Bowie in a bed wearing the bandages-with-button-eyes arrangement he wore in their previous collaboration, the video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/11/23/david-bowie-blackstar-johan-renck" target="_blank">Blackstar</a>, the album&#39;s title track.But Lazarus is a more intimate affair&nbsp;- and a triumph. Bowie gives a tremendous performance (a very Bowie-esque one)&nbsp;appearing more assured in front of a camera than in a very long time &ndash;&nbsp;way before he made his return to music three years ago.And if the lyrics are anything to go by, could he be referencing his 1970s self? Capturing&nbsp;a fire in the eyes and a cheeky grin straight out of a Mick Rock photo (okay, the teeth are better), Johan Renck has coaxed something of the old cracked actor back. The new album is definitely going to be worth a listen.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Having brought his TV blockbuster series&nbsp;The Last Panthers to the screen,&nbsp;Johan Renck had the crazy idea of asking his all-time hero David Bowie to write the theme song for the show. To his great surprise, Bowie agreed to do it, and that started an association that has led to Renck directing this ambitious surrealist epic for Blackstar, the first single from the new Bowie album, released on January 8th (his 68th birthday).Shot in New York and Bucharest, featuring Bowie bandaged with button eyes, Pina Bausch-style dancers, Expressionist sets - and according to Renck, at least partly inspired by Bowie&#39;s fascination with old Popeye cartoons - the director has relished the challenge&nbsp;set by this 10 minute suite of art-rock. Here&#39;s testiment to the unabated experimentation of one of the greatest rock stars.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

The week that the brilliantly hyped new Daft Punk album Random Access Memories comes out is also the week of the 2013 F1 Monaco Grand Prix. Time for one more genius marketing ploy &ndash; and what could be more appropriate?
After a series of tantalising teasers over the previous few days, Jonas &Acirc;kerlund&rsquo;s 30 second spot reveals the truth: the Lotus team will be driving a customized Daft Punk car at the most iconic Grand Prix race of them all. Predicted global TV audience: 100 million.
And edited by Christian Larson, the ad is suitably quick. In fact it&rsquo;s eye-bogglingly kinetic. It probably has more cuts than any in the history of thirty second commercials.
One presumes that the two Lotus cars will be still be driven by Kimi R&auml;ikk&ouml;nen and Romain Grosjean, rather than DP&rsquo;s Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter. But let&rsquo;s hope they&rsquo;re wearing proper Daft Punk helmets&hellip;
