Dani says: "The plan was always to make a road trip movie, minus the car. The song's about female empowerment - and what's more empowering than a cool chick on a cool BMX snaking her way through the mean streets of Los Angeles without a care in the world!"

Stamp directing duo Amit &amp; Naroop showcase a new edgier side to Alexandra Burke in this promo shot in an empty warehouse in South London.
"The concept of the video is really me showing my ex-boyfriend what he's missing and now he sees this new girl transformed because she's broken up with him," Alexandra explains. 
"What I love about music videos is the fact that I get to have some fun. It's a really nice way to just live with the song, perform it, have fun with it and dance my little socks off."

Newly signed to Stamp, directing duo Charlie &amp; Joe deliver this excellent and beautifully shot short film for The Maccabees' Given To The Wild - incorporating specially arranged music from their upcoming album of the same name.
Featuring a cast of six, the adventurous and abstract film was shot in Cornwall ahead of the album's release in January.

Ryan Hope's video for Bombay Bicycle Club's Leave It manages to span the rollercoaster of human life, from birth to death and everything in between, in what looks like a single rotating shot.
A set of chairs in a working men's club, arranged in a circle, are occupied first by the band, and then a succession of ordinary folk going through a progression of everyday struggles. And as with Ryan's new documentary <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2011/11/29/skin-by-ryan-hope/" target="_blank">Skin</a>, it's a change-up from his pop/fashion-orientated work to something more serious, handled with aplomb.

A dark and stylish examination of art, Skin features new work from Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Raymond Pettibon working on a new kind of canvas: human skin. The trailer has already gained 40,000 views and blogs such as the Huffington Post and Hypebeast giving coverage. 
The film, made in conjunction with Garage magazine with the generosity of Christie's and the W Hotel Group, is directed by 28-year-old music video veteran Hope, who has recently completed videos for The Saturdays, Alpines, Dizzee Rascal and Groove Armada, with a promo for Bombay Bicycle Club about to be delivered.

"It was quite a challenge this one," explains Elisha. "A one day shoot with the girls, crew and vehicles battling gale force winds and torrential rain. Everyone was a real trooper though, particularly the girls who had to fight hard not to be completely blown over".

Ian Pons Jewell delivers this quirky, hard-edged and tongue-in-cheek winner for DJ Shadow's I'm Excited - from his forthcoming album The Less You Know The Better (September 26).
With an enigmatic performance from Afrikan Boy, Jewell's maverick promo certainly displays a flair for the surreal.
"The visuals came about pretty directly from listening to the track" explains Pons Jewell "originally drawing inspiration from the African Space Program. It became a bit out of hand trying to write a piece where he built a spaceship, so teleportation became the better option for the budget. 
"He was styled as a Gaddafi type dictator with an obsession for inter-dimensional travel, employing the skills of a mad inventor to make the contraption. We ended up with just over a week to turn it around".

A very stylish, even iconographic for Alpines' Cocoon by Ryan Hope. He directed the first Alpines video as half of Hope Audikana where the band were a mysterious non-presence. This is similarly stripped-back photographic, but this time he has the duo to work with - particularly strikingly attractive singer Catherine Pockson, the woman with the longest hair in synth-pop. And he makes the most of it with a conceptually strong, sophisticated pop video. 
A great showcase for Alpines; a very impressive 'sophomore' effort for Hope's new solo career.
