Otis Dominique and RAYE co-direct the dazzling&nbsp;promo for new track Escapism.&nbsp;Capturing the brutality of post break-up blues and the hedonistic need to escape&nbsp;the reality of being dumped, the video follows the artist as she turns to partying, drinks, drugs and any excuse to forget the heartbreak that's ripping through her.&nbsp;Using a mix of camera techniques and a blurred amalgam of effects, bright lights and a non-linear timeline, it's a bold, unabashed vision that complements the punchy track.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]"We worked really hard to create an honest depiction of where I was at that time in my life,” explains RAYE. “It was fun and wild. We shot it over a couple of days and wore point-of-view cameras during a wild night out at many different clubs. I pushed myself outside of my comfort zone and I ran 150 metres in 5 inch heels. We really took it there! I am really proud of it and hope everyone enjoys the visuals."Otis Dominique also says that he is very happy with the results of his collaboration with RAYE.&nbsp;"I'm so gassed to see this film come out after all the hard work put in from the whole team involved!" he says. "RAYE&nbsp;and (creative director) Mikey's approach to this project really allowed us all to push the limits creatively and make something that hasn't quite been done like this before."The song has so many ups and downs,&nbsp;changes of mood and vibe, so the challenge lay in how to connect these feelings and emotions together through filmmaking and storytelling without being too on the nose."My favourite element of the film is the contrast between our real night out footage and the considered setups we shot inside the exact same locations, truly showing the differences between reality and state of mind. That stuff goes hard and is so trippy!"

Kiwi animator Simon Ward has created a marvellous entertaining video for New Zealand producer Eyeliner, aka Luke Rowell:&nbsp;a yellow dancing cyclopean figure's uninhibited jaunt through a subway system into a weird subterranean realm - featuring motion-captured movements by choreographer and dancer Alana Yee."I had just about finished writing this in NZ and the sections of the tune are marked by samples of subway trains, implying a kind of underground adventure - then I moved to Hong Kong and was riding the subway it all made a lot more sense," explains Rowell, of the title track from&nbsp;Eyeliner's 2020 album Drop Shadow.&nbsp;"It has been a true pleasure working again with good friends and long-time collaborators Simon and Alana, a real dream team! A deeply surreal and melancholic clip from New Zealand director Simon Ward sees ultra-shiny renders of humans wander listlessly around what appears to be predominantly the forecourt of an office block.Princess Chelsea herself, appearing on an advert for her own single inside her own video, is the only true&nbsp;human shape in the video that isn&#39;t staring out from the uncanny valley. The video reaches a narrative and surrealist peak with the final act of bizarrely flexible dancing from the afforemention moping CGI crowd.The entire video is bizarre, funny and sort of sad at the same time.&nbsp;Kind of like&nbsp;David Lewandowski&#39;s &#39;Going To The Store&#39; and &#39;Late For meeting&#39; shorts, with an added layer of existential misery.

With some cool and psychedelic on-body projections, John Bland follows his promo for Charlotte Church&rsquo;s <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2013/04/24/charlotte-church-glitterbombed-by-john-bland/">Glitterbombed</a> with this slow-burning promo, matching the intense and dark nature of her next single Nerve.
&ldquo;Nerve is about the intense state of mind that you find yourself in after having an apocalyptic row with someone you love&rdquo; explains Charlotte. &ldquo;The sort of row that seems like it could be terminal; the confusion of knowing that you deeply care about and never want to be without &ndash; the person who you&rsquo;ve just had a massive fight with, and the resulting emotional dissonance&rdquo;.

Paul Caslin continues his association with Girls Aloud, directing the promo to new single Beautiful 'Cause You Love Me.

Shot in the beautiful Osterely House in West London (which, incidentally, doubles as Wayne Manor in The Dark Knight Rises), the girls smoulder away under Paul's guidance, looking as easy on the eye as ever...

"Having directed DVDs and documentaries for Girls Aloud over the past five years, making a promo seemed like a natural progression," Paul explains. "I wanted to create an intimate, behind-closed-doors feel. They all have their own individual styles so portraying this in their solo scenes was important."
