Jonny Kight's haunting and dark video for Glaswegian Producer Sega Bodega's debut EP deals with the ugly subject of male obsession and disorientation. 
Set to the tense and dark score of Konerak, Kight displays a flair for getting standout performances from his actors - notable this time from Julien Rivett and Ed Birch - who take the viewer on an uncomfortable 'noir'-like journey.
"We talk a lot about creating this unsettling feeling through the camera work and colours used on set," explains Jonny, "My DP Ciro brought a box of tights to stretch over the lenses and we always tried to move the camera so it wasn't just sitting on our shoulders. The plan was to create an intensity and leaving ambiguous questions unanswered."

Hot on the heels of his <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2013/01/30/young-buffalo-upstairs-by-jonny-kight/" target="_blank">Young Buffalo</a> promo, Jonny Kight works with impressive vocalist Bebe Black on the video to Deathwish.
Set in a large empty warehouse and flanked by dancers Jane Leaney (also the choreographer) and Janina Rajakangas, Bebe turns in a maverick performance powered by contrasting photography from Sam Goldie.

Jonny Kight's moody and eerie promo for Mississippi trio Young Buffalo sees a young girl go on a CS Lewis-esque journey around South London with increasing surrealism.
"Rose L'Loughlin gives a great performance, tumbling through an increasingly rabbit-hole like world, and through a landscape that blends English aristocratic eccentricity with Deep South pottyness" says Jonny. "This is a world tweaked towards the surreal, with deep and murky interiors and psychedelic exteriors that reflect the extremes of the girl's emotional state. 
"Overall it gives you that wierded out and partially amnesiac feeling I'm sure many of us have had when trying to remember the previous night on a hefty hangover (but without the headaches)".

It's fun and games down at the legendary Kursaal arcade in Southend, with La Shark and their mates for the video for A Weapon - orchestrated by Jonny Kight who describes the key elements to his idea was "Southend, games, girls and milk." Needless to say, when you put those together, it gets a bit messy...
"The idea was to have a bit of fun here and not take things too seriously, but create a strong and stylised look," says Jonny. "I wanted to get it looking like two of my favourite films - Paris, Texas and My Own Private Idaho. We ran riot at the Kursaal and made a lot of mess! There wasn't much budget on this one so am super thankful for everyone worked on it."
