Vancouver-based director&nbsp;Jordan Findlay helms a video for electronic duo Mu that features&nbsp;dancer Andrea Cowden in her depiction of the struggle felt by lingering memories after moving on from a relationship.The video for&nbsp;Lover Come Monday&nbsp;contrasts the way in which these memories seep into places and embody them, like a ghost, while we also become a phantom in someone else’s mind - both haunt and be haunted, and never truly free.The project was shot in Vancouver, BC on Kodak 16mm film.

Farhad Ghaderi's impassioned video for Canadian artist&nbsp;Jordan Klassen, nominated at last month's UK Music Video Awards 2019, tells the story of two brothers, where an upcoming sports event becomes the opportunity&nbsp;to strive for something better.&nbsp;&nbsp;This fine work by DoP-turned-director Ghaderi, shot in British Columbia and created via the support of the MVP Project - a joint initiative of RBCxMusic and the Prism Prize, administered by the Academy of Canadian Cinema &amp; Television -&nbsp;features a tremendous performance by&nbsp;Antoine Olivier Pilon as the elder brother, exorcising his own demons by training his the younger for his big race.

Passions collide in Emil Nava's fiery new visual for Bruises by Lewis Capaldi.&nbsp;A young couple are stood in a yard full of shipping containers and derelict fenced-off areas. They remain at arm's length as they stare deeply into each other's eyes, tears streaming down their cheeks. As black and white snapshots of their past fire onto screen, we are introduced to their tumultuous relationship and the rollercoaster of emotions they have experienced together.Moments later, groups of fired-up people march towards the fences behind each of the characters. Representing the pent up emotion and frustration, these performers are colour-coded to either white clothing (to match the male character) or burnt copper (to match the female character). In a powerful and frenetic climax, molotov cocktails are thrown (in turn burning Capaldi's piano to the ground, and setting him alight), horses appear and fences are destroyed and pushed to the ground.&nbsp;The emotion is palpable, and the frenzy of people, props and animals creates a war-like environment that perfectly mirrors the track. Capaldi gives an emotional and confident performance, rounding off a great concept perfectly executed by the team.&nbsp;

When Jeremy Schaulin-Rioux co-directed the video for PUP&#39;s Guilt Trip, he really started something.He concocted an origin story for the&nbsp;Canadian punk band starring young actors Finn Wolfhard and Malcolm Craig. Wolfhard went on to become&nbsp;one of the stars of Stranger Things; now&nbsp;Schaulin-Rioux&#39;s directed the video for Wolfhard and Craig&#39;s own real band, indie-rock outfit Calpurnia, which they started after appearing in the Guilt Trip video. &nbsp;This is a one-take video shot on Super 16mm that features each member of the fourpiece band, starting with Wolfhard, walking through the city at dusk. And each one has a shadow that is playing the instruments that they play in the band.Despite&nbsp;a small window of time and very&nbsp;limited number of takes, Schaulin-Rioux&nbsp;and DP Cole Graham have pulled off this tricky one-shot idea with aplomb. It&#39;s a peach, and as he says below, making the video wih his Guilt Trip stars&nbsp;was a proud moment for&nbsp;Schaulin-Rioux.
