Sophie Muller directs a zesty, effervescent promo for Kylie's return to her disco comfort zone.&nbsp;Taking place in the outer reaches of the disco galaxy, the video cycles between glittering performance shots - atop an opulent horse statue, no less - and snippets of choreography, all overlaid with shooting stars and galactic visual effects.&nbsp;The maximalist video&nbsp;pays homage to some of Sophie Muller's strongest work - most comparably&nbsp;the dream sequence in No Doubt's Simple Kind Of Life -&nbsp;but with a fresh and contemporary twist.Kylie's performance is as animated, dynamic and Kylie-esque as ever, encapsulating the fun and unabashed energy of the track whilst reminding her contemporaries why the world first fell in love with her some three decades ago.&nbsp;This is Muller and Minogue's fourth video collaboration together - but the first for a while. Will Robson-Scott directs an intriguing fly-on-the-wall promo for Isle of Dogs rapper Crunch, featuring Hak Baker.&nbsp;From the vantage point of a peephole in a block of flats, the video for&nbsp;Lucky Life depicts a range of characters going about their daily routines in and around the entrance of the building.&nbsp;Exploring the hustle it takes just to stay alive, the video shows friends hanging out, dealers meeting clients and police investigating a disturbance. It's a brilliant slice of life with an unfamiliar but very effective performance setup intercut through the action.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]The use of a fixed camera is inspired, showing the area as a social hub, where a diverse set of people mix and meet up. With life unfolding in front of the camera, the characters are presented without any kind of prejudice or notions about who they are or what they do, which allows viewers to come to their own conclusions, and project their own ideas into the video.It's&nbsp;a brilliant and understated piece of work from the creative team, proving that the&nbsp;simplest concepts are quite often the best.&nbsp;WILL ROBSON-SCOTT ON THE MAKING OF THE VIDEO:<blockquote>This idea&nbsp;was based on a&nbsp;New York Times&nbsp;piece I saw about&nbsp;a hidden camera in the South Bronx.</blockquote>PN: How did you get involved with the project, and what did the creative ideation process look like between you and the artists?WR-S: This is the third video with Hak, alongside&nbsp;photos and many hours spent in each other's company. Like all the work&nbsp;we've done together, the idea's journey from inception to finished product&nbsp;is long - very long. But this is what is nice about the work: the only people to please are me and him really. No outside voices which is a nice bit of freedom. With that though comes loads of favours from other people, so I'm grateful for everyone who has&nbsp;helped along the way.Usually me and Hak will have a back and forth on ideas. This idea&nbsp;was mine and based on a New York Times piece I saw about&nbsp;a hidden camera in the South Bronx. We spent a load of time looking for the ideal location, and found one in the Isle of Dogs, where Hak and Crunch grew up. We also tested a load of cameras, from motion-censored&nbsp;cameras, hidden peephole cameras, ring doorbells - the list goes on.[imgtoken data:2]<blockquote>It was shot just before lockdown, and has a slight weird resonance to how a lot of people are currently living their lives.</blockquote>How did you approach casting this project?​There wasn't&nbsp;really any casting. People were invited down -&nbsp;but we also just left the camera rolling.The peephole/fly on the wall perspective is intriguing, given our current lockdown restraints. Did this project shoot after lockdown, and if so, how did you make it happen logistically?​It was shot just before lockdown, and has a slight weird resonance to how a lot of people are currently living their lives; looking out, twitching curtains, waiting...What do you hope people will take away from the visual on a creative and emotional level?​The constraints of the creative were put in place by the execution. Once the camera was mounted, that's it really. I've never really even put a camera on a tripod before when shooting a video, so it did feel slow and static during the shoot. There's no specific take away&nbsp;emotionally. I just hope people enjoy the visuals alongside the tune.In terms of lockdown, how do you think the music video production process is going to have changed once the restrictions are lifted? Do you foresee an immediate return to the old status quo?​I think we are probably going to be in this self isolation limbo for a while. 2020 is most likely a write-off in regards to having a traditional shoot with crew, so people will have to somehow work around that. Animators and VFX people are gonna be busy, also people making domino-effect (Rube Goldberg) style&nbsp;videos, celebs singing awful, gag inducing 'Save The World' songs, etc etc.I'm sure&nbsp;when this is all said and done there will an avalanche of jobs. And if the status quo is trying to make the production&nbsp;value look four times the budget, then I'm sure it will be a swift return to that. :)&nbsp;

And then when takes a look under her bed - it gets even nastier.Ross McDowell has done a fine job with this video, building the narrative through the direction, excellent casting and use of VFX to make this an&nbsp;fun trip that's also an ominous&nbsp;warning against the perils of alcohol.

Murray from Easy Life becomes King of his own rubbish tip, in a world full of trash.In the video that sees Sophie Muller and Ross McDowell resume their occasional directing partnership, and shot in Morocco, the band occupy a local recycling plant, to be eventually replace by icon-sculptures made of trash. In fact there's so much rubbish, it's also in the sky...&nbsp;&nbsp;It's a cool effect, using the deep blue of the Moroccan sky as a matte to play with perception and perspective and ultimately make this a very trippy tip.

Featuring&nbsp;bassist&nbsp;Jack Lawrence (of&nbsp;The Raconteurs) with six fingers, Jack White with three legs and three&nbsp;arms, Dean Fertita (of&nbsp;Queens of the Stone Age) with elongated fingers and&nbsp;vocalist&nbsp;Alison Mosshart (of&nbsp;The Kills) looking into a mirror which reflects the back of her head.Captured at&nbsp;odd angles by DoP&nbsp;Roger Pistole, the remaining jail cells are filled with other troubling characters, such as a man&nbsp;weeping over his dead bride&nbsp;and young girl with rag doll scars taking it all in. Not to mention the dreadful sight&nbsp;of their raging captors, whose mouths take over their&nbsp;entire face...

The second half of&nbsp;Shynola&#39;s unusual&nbsp;double-video project&nbsp;for Raleigh Ritchie&#39;s Bloodsport &#39;15 is finally released &ndash;&nbsp;and it&#39;s darker, more violent, but also&nbsp;more zanily comedic than we might have expected.&nbsp;In <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/08/12/raleigh-ritchie-bloodsport-15-shynola" target="_blank">Part 1</a>, we followed an impossibly&nbsp;anguished&nbsp;Raleigh, as he engaged in some unhinged post-breakup behaviour. But within the confines of his flat, his&nbsp;actions remain relatively innocuous,&nbsp;such as&nbsp;talking to a face drawn on paper, cutting up his ex&#39;s clothes, and&nbsp;hugging high-heels to his chest right after tossing them in the toilet.This second episode sees him railing against the world and turning into a&nbsp;murderous sniper, literally shooting everyone&#39;s head off from his rooftop vantage point. But there&#39;s a cartoonish element to the live action&nbsp;carnage: heads trained within Raleigh&#39;s sights&nbsp;are replaced by a pink blob, as his rifle works&nbsp;like a more destructive version of cupid&#39;s bow and arrow.And then it turns out he&#39;s not the only rooftop shooter...&nbsp;

They may be animation legends but&nbsp;Shynola are pretty much all about live action these days when it comes to their outings in music video. But the magic is still there, as this intriguing fantasy&nbsp;for Hot Chip&#39;s wistful Need You Now&nbsp;shows.Band frontman Alexis Taylor, in&nbsp;a post break-up daze, and marooned in a familiarly desolate and drizzly English seaside town, finds himself caught in a strange&nbsp;time-loop. He ends up in a cat-and-mouse chase with himself - and playing both the cat and the mouse.It&#39;s intricately structured - with&nbsp;the mystery increased as versions of Alexis are&nbsp;obliterated as everything turns to black. But the chase still goes on,&nbsp;and the&nbsp;video does an excellent job of depicting a sense of helpless anguish, amidst&nbsp;a feeling of unfinished business - all reflecting Alexis&#39;s emotive vocals in the track.&nbsp;

Directed by Lucy Luscombe, Blood Orange&#39;s High Street&nbsp;is a contradiction &ndash;&nbsp;green leaves and concrete streets. The contrast leaves a perfect platform for Skepta&#39;s honest lyrics and Dev Hynes&#39; soft support.&nbsp;It&#39;s an unlikely match, but their&nbsp;unifying force is London.&nbsp;Shot in Muswell Hill, Skepta goes from the park to the high street, and then&nbsp;the bus garage, confirming there is hardly anything more identifiably&nbsp;London&nbsp;than&nbsp;the red bus.
