There's energy, edge and grittiness, harnessed in a kinetic edit, but also a tangible sense of claustrophobia as we crash into Felix's lair.A lurid colour palette and unpredictable contrast between bright and dark is disorientating, and that suits this irrepressible, Slipknot-loving dancer-turned-rapper. It's as off-kilter as he is, and a good way to build on his breakthough success via TikTok.&nbsp;

Chrissi's marvellous takedown of an unworthy lover in Lipo gets a charming and witty treatment by Denisha Anderson.Lipo is Chrissi’s ode to body positivity, self-love and the trials of getting to the point where you believe you deserve it. And although the subject is serious&nbsp;she treats it in a smooth, laidback fashion, addressing her ex with an 'this is your problem, not mine' attitude. That makes it all the more impactful.Anderson gets the mood exactly right, by putting Chrissi in a naturalistic situation with her friends, echoing some classic R&amp;B videos along the way. Chrissi and her pals&nbsp;are enjoying each other's company, and aided by the choreography by Claudia Lois, and some fun set-ups, this is playful as it spreads it's serious message.[imgtoken data:1]“When I initially heard the song, I was gassed at the bar 'Fxck your feelings'," says Anderson.&nbsp;"I really felt that, and knew I had to create something which was full of energy yet super empowering."Drawing inspiration from Destiny’s Child’s Bootylicious and Janet Jackson’s That’s The Way Love Goes, I wanted a similar home environment, where we see Chrissi and her friends vibing and enjoying each other’s company, dissecting F-Boys, and saying goodbye to that energy and hello to an evolved version of self."Utilising a variety of set-ups and working with a choreographer for the first time, I think we pulled it all together with smiles, energy and charisma to make a film I am really proud of.”&nbsp;

The Safdie Brothers meet&nbsp;Blade in Milo Blake's surreal, visceral video&nbsp;for Biig Piig's Fun.&nbsp;This intense horror-drama begins at full-throttle with Biig Piig playing one half of an outlaw couple, who are deep in&nbsp;an argument after a robbery gone wrong. Then a dark energy engulfs the couple, transforming them into vampiric alter-egos of themselves.With menacing new auras, chaos then ensues - with a lone medical worker carrying blood supplies as the pair's hapless&nbsp;victim.&nbsp;In terms of the nature of the narrative this is&nbsp;quite the metamorphosis for Biig Piig, who steals the show in vampire villain mode.&nbsp;Meanwhile, the surreal aesthetic and horror concept has the wider impact of visualising the idea of toxic love, and how the darker side of our personalities&nbsp;can run riot in the heat of an argument.It's another&nbsp;intriguing step forward for Milo Blake - this time into a&nbsp;tangibly creepy netherworld&nbsp;- with the help of excellent cinematography by&nbsp;Deon Van Zyl, and a kinetically breathless edit by&nbsp;Lainy Black.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Denisha Anderson has teamed up with the London-based up and coming artist Léa Sen for her debut single Hyasynth, and created a video which explores the singer's state of mind via the device of a triptych.&nbsp;Anderson dramatises Sen's domestic life in a studio setting, capturing commonplace moments of her day&nbsp;from different angles and altering timelines,&nbsp;as Sen performs the song - and prepares for an evening with friends. There is also a meditative and melancholic mood at play, as the excitment and comfort of a party atmosphere dissipates. It becomes clear that the singer is preparing to leave the space.Anderson's visual reflects the song, which&nbsp;is about Léa&nbsp;Sen's journey from her home on the outskirts of Paris to London - where she has established&nbsp;herself as one of the capital’s most in-demand talents, from her&nbsp;vocal features for Joy Orbison to solo work that references everything from Bon Iver’s electronic timbre and folk guitars to Sampha’s impressionistic lyricism.[imgtoken data:1]“In a way, I ran away from certain things," says Sen. "In another way I also made the first step into growing into the person I really wanted to be. Sometimes I feel like my past mistakes haunt me, that’s what I felt making this song. It’s about wanting to grow and handle life with more wisdom.”For the video, Denisha Anderson says she drew inspiration from influential British artist and filmmaker Isaac Julien.&nbsp;“I knew a triptych would be a great concept for this song as I wanted to create a visual that demanded your attention over and over again," she says."Being back with my dream team - my DoP, set designer, stylist and editor - immediately gave me the confidence to pull this off as they all were very clear in how I envisioned it and as always, the whole crew delivered in abundance.[imgtoken data:2]"Every element of this video demanded a lot from each HOD. Firstly, the lighting I wanted was very specific, as it acts as an arc as we drift into different time periods throughout each scene. Followed by set design, I wanted to create a space with objects familiar with it still feeling surreal i.e being in the studio. Finally, the edit, the flow of each scene was integral and it was essentially 3 videos in one, whoopsie!"Working with Léa was the icing on the cake. She was professional, a great performer and a warm character throughout the day and I feel so privileged to be a part of her new musical journey by having the opportunity to direct her first music video."Léa adds: “Denisha came up with that idea of the triptych to express the complexity of my disconnect from my loved ones when I decided to leave for London a few years back. I thought it was just a brilliant idea and it turned out even more gorgeous than I expected. I’m also grateful for my friends that came on set and had a dance with me, it was exactly what I needed!”

Beetlejuice meets Scooby Doo with a mix of John Waters, as Bedroom bring trippy fun to singer Lava La Rue's date night in the video for&nbsp;bouncy single Vest &amp; Boxers.Lava is looking for Ms Right and her anxious attempts at finding romance is a brilliantly cartoonish adventure in the hands of the directing duo, from the blood-dripping&nbsp;animated titles to the endlessly colourful and exciting art direction and styling, to the wonderfully saturated and textured cinematography.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]Lava herself emerges as a terrific foil for Bedroom's&nbsp;twisted and slightly surreal&nbsp;pop&nbsp;vision, running through a variety of emotions (and outfits) as she seemingly finds her dream girl - and also performing as her inner voice: the girl in the vest and boxers, camouflaged against the stripey backdrop.&nbsp;If they are not already rather wacky, then&nbsp;things get even weirder and surreal: her dining table becomes possessed - and another girl pops up on the scene.&nbsp;This all adds up to a tasty gumbo of a video,&nbsp;complimenting the catchy moody guitar driven track with it’s hard to resist charm and smooth vocals.&nbsp;Really cool.
