Ro Llauro directs a convincing throwback to the VHS format for Billy Fox's Taste. Switching between footage of Fox and b-roll of landscapes, dogs and various other everyday things, the video&nbsp;captures real life in a charming and naturalistic way, and this is cemented by the use of a VHS camera and some effective lo-fi visual effects, as video drop out and cuts in the video align with the rhythm of the track.&nbsp;Straight to the point, with enough visual manipulation to feel interesting and current.&nbsp;

Alice in Wonderland gets a bizarre&nbsp;reimagining&nbsp;in this video for Kyoto Skies&nbsp;by Natalia Cartney.&nbsp;Referencing the fashion photography of the likes of Annie Leibovitz and Helmut Newton, the clip is a surreal trip down the rabbit hole, raw and at times disconcerting.Focusing on female sexuality, our protagonist is lead to a party populated by a variety of costumed characters – including unicorns, police officers and twisted bunny girls - and looks totally at home. Exploring the cusp of adulthood and the abundance of conflicting emotions we feel when crossing that threshhold, the video is unapologetic and bold, and all the better for it.&nbsp;

Drawing from dystopian classics such as 1984,&nbsp;Fahrenheit 451&nbsp;and Brazil, and existentialist questions in the works of Tool,&nbsp;Ro Llauro&nbsp;envisions a terrifying future for mankind for the Australian&nbsp;band Rufflefeather.It's the story of the Operator (played by Rohin Thompson) - a worker who is&nbsp;confined to his workstation, his mouth sealed shut. As he goes about his tasks on his strange pre-computer device, the Overseer barks orders from the screen above his station. But from this bleak post-war dystopia, scenes from a world outside his dronelike existence&nbsp;start to be beamed in through the TV."The entire set was created from scratch in the back of an antique warehouse," reveals Ro Llauro. "Rohin, had his mouth shut closed for most of the production day - we only had limited prosthesis he could wear, then rip open."&nbsp;With this sense of resourcefulness - including impressive art direction that delivers an effective retro-future aesthetic, and the repurposing of Cold War-era public domain footage - Llauro has created a convincingly bleak world to accompany the Radiohead-like&nbsp;indie-rock of Rufflefeather's Amnesia.

Rodrigo Llauro spends a retro-psychedelic afternoon with Billy Fox in the video for Shapes.Switching between a hyper-saturated, surreal retro living room and a dark, high-contrast, VHS-style performance, Llauro's clip plays some fun games with Billy. When he's not sending some disembodied hands to generally disrupt Billy's day, he's having a lot of fun with the perception-warping acid-trip visuals and throwback production design of both contrasting halves of the clip.
