In photographer and director Bafic&#39;s brooding video for Spit Three Times, Neneh Cherry&nbsp;takes a backseat night-time&nbsp;drive through the city, and performs among hanging roses, the slow revelation and repetition of&nbsp;imagery, like the lights of a motorway underpass,&nbsp;draws attention to the emotional nature of the lyrics, written in the aftermath of the sudden&nbsp;death of Neneh&#39;s mother and her ensuing grief and depression.&quot;Bafic picked up on the intimate nature of my lyrics in this song,&quot; Cherry has told FADER. &quot;I am a fighter and I fought back from the edge of hell. Bafic captures this fight with his imagery, especially the flowers and the long motorway&nbsp;underpass shots. I am very proud of this simple yet effective little short film. It means a heck of a lot to me personally.&quot;
