Oscar Dunbar's video for West London indie band Khartoum is the story of Benny and Alice - two big characters who fall hard for each other. Sparks fly big time - but can it last?Inspired by Bonnie &amp; Clyde - which is referenced in the song - and Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Dunbar&nbsp; builds his passionate romance between two charismatic women and then starts to subvert the dream with an increasingly complicated narrative structure,&nbsp;in the manner of early&nbsp;Tarantino.The couple start commenting&nbsp;separately to an unseen interrogator&nbsp;about their relationship, and their accounts begin to diverge. But we're always drawn back to the pair's essential glamour, captured by Dunbar and DoP Richard Bell's rich cinematography.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]"I was very lucky to work with the most wonderful actors in Danni Spooner and Zinzi Caine," says Dunbar. "I wanted to modernise the old formula for a film based around a couple by working with actors from the under-represented LGBTQ+ and Black community."My long-term collaborator Richard Bell was the cinematographer and this project has been a labour of love for us both. Vasilisa Forbes explores overconsumption and excess in her satirical promo for retro power-popsters Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard.&nbsp;If you've never seen a singer&nbsp;force-fed junk food whilst being pinned down by sugary snacks, buckle up, you're in for a treat.&nbsp;Drowning in this sea of garbage and waste, we see the alternative indie group in a series of vibrant vignettes, shot in a mesmerisingly surreal fashion - with plenty of wide-angle lenses and awkward angles to elevate this effect.&nbsp;Forbes plays on the themes of the track by creating a literal world that echoes the issues staring us dead in the face, and does so in a tongue-in-cheek yet lamenting manner.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;

Things are looking up for tech house heavy-hitter Archie Hamilton, in Conrad Gamble's trippy visual for Resurrection.&nbsp;Utilising a perspective that is surprisingly underused in the format, the concept revolves around a simple but effective trick - a tapestry of extremely low-angle shots.&nbsp;Opening with a camera move that tracks over Hamilton to a skylight in the ceiling, the promo sticks with the angle but switches up the locations, giving viewers an engaging bugs-eye-view of different buildings and structures.&nbsp;

Fox-hunting is reimagined as a dystopian game targeting society's outcasts in James Green's&nbsp;thoroughly entertaining video for Kid Kapichi.&nbsp;Picked on by pompous locals as "thugs", the band,&nbsp;dressed in orange bomber jackets and jeans, are then targeted by the local hunt. And one of them ends up as the captive of the demented lord of the manor - played by Steve Furst.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.jamesgreenfilm.com/" target="_blank">James Green</a> strikes a tone of broad&nbsp;comedy, dressed in&nbsp;a&nbsp;retro, B-Movie aesthetic. But there is a political edge that&nbsp;nails the political zeitgeist in modern Britain. It's about the&nbsp;divide between rich and poor, old and young, and the rising tide of closed minds and bigotry. But as it turns out, help is at hand...&nbsp;Action-packed, well performed and with a very satisfying conclusion, the concept brings Kid Kapichi's rallying-cry&nbsp;lyrics to life, and demands to&nbsp;be watched multiple times.That&nbsp;is especially&nbsp;impressive, as Green says: "We pulled this video together in record time with a low budget, shooting on the British coast during Storm Ciara. What perfect timing."&nbsp;&nbsp;
