Then there&#39;s the performance elements and glorious subtitles.This video grabs its aesthetic principals with both hands and runs full speed into a wall and the results are brilliant.

With the camera continuously rotating in motion control, Luke has composited the various takes, so multiples of the bandmembers perform &ndash; and interact with themselves.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Emeli Sandé wrote Clown about her feelings when she was just entering the music business, trying to get signed, and dealing with music business people for the first time. She wanted the video for Clown to reflect that &ndash; and, fresh from his video for Robbie Williams&rsquo; Different, WIZ has reimagined that specific experience into a classic (in fact, ancient) scenario. He turns Emeli into a heroine faced with a situation that requires moral courage.The video takes place on the floor of a debating chamber &ndash; like the Roman Senate &ndash;&nbsp;with Emeli surrounded by men in vaguely fascistic military uniform, urging her to sign a document that will give her something in exchange for something else. Typically, WIZ draws out the political and romantic aspect of the situation, and as with the Robbie video he seems to have found much visual inspiration from British cinema of the 1940s.Its emotional, thanks to Emeli Sandé&rsquo;s excellent performance as someone caught on the horns of a dilemma. She says: &ldquo;It&rsquo;s about how I felt when I was trying to get signed, I was going for all these meetings and people were looking at me like &lsquo;What do we do with you&rsquo;? It&rsquo;s about not allowing yourself to be judged by others or to be taken for an idiot. I feel the video reflects that.&rdquo;&nbsp;

With beautiful photography from Daniel Trapp, Ross Cairns delivers this cinematic &#39;international&#39; crime caper to partner Pure Love&#39;s Beach Of Diamonds. With the band&#39;s Frank and Jimmy in the lead roles - and giving very convincing performances too - Cairns contrasts high-tech violence with a palatial, sumptuous setting.&quot;Shot in Spain over an intense and literally sleepless 48 hours by a crew of essentially two, and then posted over considerably more than 48 hours, fuelled by enthusiasm and Wagamamas,&quot; explains Ross. &quot;We were keen to take a narrative approach to this video and for some time I thought that Frank could carry a performance removed from his front man day job. I wrote a short story of two totally conflicting characters brought together by a controlling third party for a heist and then adapted for the video, taking the title and lyrics for further inspiration. I wanted to find a balance, bringing lighter moments to offset the dark stuff.&quot;It was a crazily compressed window to shoot in, not least because of problems with airport security resulting in missed flights, so we just all got into the groove, worked hard together in what little time we had and made it work. &quot;Post was handled by Prime Focus who I&#39;d spoken to about the idea while practically resident with them on a commercial in the Summer. I shared rushes and they were onboard. Over several weeks, a small but focussed team put in effort and skill above and beyond.&quot;As well as the video cut, I came away with enough good footage for an extended cut, that&#39;s currently sitting comfortably at 10 minutes. The aim is to get that ready in time for the album release in Feb and the band are creating some original material for the score.
