Khalid's song New Normal was premiered with a live performance at&nbsp;Virgin Galactic’s Unity 22 Spaceflight launch earlier this month, and in keeping with that, the video directed by Andy Hines reflects a positive take on technology.It features the singer in an idealised version of the near&nbsp;future - a non-dystopian&nbsp;interpretation that&nbsp;almost feels revolutionary. It's an appealing vision, with VFX from UK company We Are Covert.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A man drives purposefully across the Texas plains on a mission, in Philip Andelman's absorbing video for Khruangbin and Leon Bridges' lovely collaboration Texan Sun.He's on a quest, and the film combines the epic nature of his determination and pioneering spirit, with the intimacy of his relationship with his wife. And the tough reality of&nbsp;life on the road in West Texas also comes with an element of pure magic.&nbsp;&nbsp;As he explains here, Andelman was inspired to create a visual that did justice to the song. He has done exactly that.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Halsey gets sucked into a magical fairground wonderland in Anton Tammi's video for Graveyard.&nbsp;Opening in a bedroom, Halsey is drawing on a pad, the red lines left by her marker pen glistening as she continues her work. Suddenly, her drawing of a girl comes to life, and the human version appears right by her side.&nbsp;Together, they are transported to an Alice in Wonderland-style world, under the glistening lights of a midnight carnival. Totally free, the pair playfully dance and explore without abandon, two characters in a utopic fantasy world. But all good things must come to an end, and as Halsey enters a tunnel aquarium, the other girl dissipates into red glittery stars, disappearing for good.&nbsp;Beautifully shot with a simple yet fantastic concept, Halsey jumps head first into her role, embodying a curious young woman with the power to dream. Her performance is nicely matched with co-star Sydney Sweeney - recently seen in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In Allie Avital's third video for Moses Sumney, the R&amp;B artist wanders a desolate&nbsp;landscape and seashore, where he discovers a mythical creature between the rocks - a mermaid.&nbsp;Sumney collects the vulnerable creature - played by Sasha Lane, from American Honey - in his arms, and the connection between the two becomes physical and fluidly emotional from that moment, as the apparently helpless creature reveals her true nature.&nbsp;&nbsp;After two previous, very&nbsp;sensual videos for Sumney, for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2016/09/02/moses-sumney-worth-it-allie-avital" target="_blank">Worth It</a>&nbsp;and <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/07/05/moses-sumney-doomed-allie-avital" target="_blank">Doomed</a>, Avital has now created something more ambitious, extending the sensuality&nbsp;into eroticism, then crossing over into something much darker. &nbsp;“It’s a story about our inevitable desire for love and closeness and conversely, our instincts to destroy those that offer us those comforts,” comment Sumney and Avital. The result is a&nbsp;very powerful work - with excellent cinematography from Ryan Hope.

It&#39;s Muna vs. a line of faceless&nbsp;riot police - representing here an authoritarian regime that your imagination might not have to stretch too far to picture. Their message here is one of compassion, rather than violence, which in some circles might be a more controversial school of thought.Political ideologies here are intercut with some incredible costume and performance elements from the band. It looks like dystopia, but it&#39;s a very stylish dystopia.

Nicolas Randall &amp; Marc-Edouard Leon deliver a night-crawling, sleazy and heartbreakingly bleak video for Midnight to Monaco.&nbsp;Tackling the subject of male prostitution in 80s LA was never going to be pretty, and this video makes every scenario seem sinister and cold. Nobody genuinely smiles, there&#39;s no passion in anything seen here and the neon lights of cheap motels illuminate a world cast under Hollywood&#39;s shadow with a sickly glow - beautifully shot, it must be said, by DoP Starr Whitesides.&nbsp;It&#39;s not an easy watch, but it&#39;s certainly a rewarding one - with Midnight To Monaco&#39;s Ricky Ducati convincing&nbsp;in the lead role as the wannabe actor turned hustler.&nbsp;The bookending of the video&nbsp;with a VHS scene adds a sinister, voyeuristic element to a story where the young and the pretty try and thrive and quickly find themselves becoming obsolete.&nbsp;
