Up-and-coming director KC Locke brings us a fastmoving visual for the summer banger Answerphone, featuring the romantic trials and tribulations&nbsp;of Ella Eyre and Yxng Bane over a backdrop of exuberant&nbsp;partying.What begins with a frustrated Ella chasing Yxng on the phone without success, shifts up several gears as she heads for a mansion party with friends while Bane is driven through the streets of Lisbon by the song producers Banx &amp; Ranx. And when Bane finally meets up with Ella at the party, there&#39;s a finale in a moody room elsewhere so that they can air their differences.&nbsp;Locke, whose previous work includes popular videos for outspoken rap artist IAMDDB, marshalls plenty of elements and also provides excellent performance sequences, with an energy to match the summery vibe of the song.

It begins with&nbsp;the homecoming of the central protagonist of the video to a hero&#39;s welcome after a time away, which gives an insight and cultural context to the importance given to community, family and friends. Then our hero and his friends make up for lost time, reconnecting through their love of dance.

Portuguese director Richard F. Coelho tackles the big issues through the medium of dance in his absorbing video for Orelha Negra&#39;s Ready.It&#39;s an instrumental track that develops into an epic of distinct movements, which is reflected in the progression of the performances in the video: a dancer, expresses the misery of addiction and pain of recovery through contemporary dance; she&#39;s followed by a &#39;punk&#39; ballerina, who is herself replaced by facepainted street dancers.It&#39;s impressively achieved by Coehlo and DoP Leandro Ferrão, making the most of a small budget with excellent use of the talent at their disposal and the crumbling, derelict building in Lisbon where it was shot.
