In Fleur and Manu&#39;s ambitious, layered, cameo-littered epic for&nbsp;A$AP Rocky&#39;s Everyday, we follow the irrepressible Rocky&#39;s career in reverse - from a point where all that lavish living has definitely caught up with him.Bloated, used-up, and face-down in a pool, Everyday (which samples Rod Stewart&#39;s vocal from In A Broken Dream)&nbsp;tracks an old rapper&#39;s past through flashbacks which see him popping prescription pills and going under the knife to retain his fading looks, becoming unrecognisable. Rod (who has looked after himself)&nbsp;makes a brief appearance too, and Mark Ronson, as this whirlwind of scenes of partying, drugs and girls reveals present-day Rocky in all his current gorgeousness.There&#39;s a&nbsp;&#39;money can&#39;t buy&nbsp;happiness&#39;&nbsp;message in there somewhere, but Rocky still comes out as more of a carpe diem&nbsp;type of guy...&nbsp;

Their first video for Gesaffelstein is multi-nominated for awards at UK Music Video Awards 2013. And&nbsp;here&#39;s Fleur &amp; Manu&#39;s&nbsp;follow-up,&nbsp;for the head-banging DJ/producer&#39;s Hate Or Glory, which expands&nbsp;on the&nbsp;enigmatic gold glove motif of Pursuit with an allegory on the corrupting effect of power and riches.&nbsp;We&#39;re down in the &#39;hood to witness a young gangster&#39;s brutal rise to dominance &ndash; and then his uniquely extravagant method of&nbsp;demonstrating his accumulation of wealth. Like a&nbsp;sort of King Midas in reverse, he gold-plates himself. Now that&#39;s a bold statement, and frankly, you&#39;re asking for trouble...

A marvellous video for Warp signing Jackson And His Computerband&#39;s Dead Living Things - featuring the distinctive vocal stylings of Planningtorock - by Alex Courtès, that really is good for repeated viewings.It has an impenetrably&nbsp;surreal, vignette-style that has become quite familiar&nbsp; - and Alex has commented on its debt to other notable filmmakers, saying on <a href="http://warp.net/records/jackson-and-his-computerband/new-video-dead-living-things" target="_blank">the Warp Records site</a> that &quot;this project is a direct reference to the works of Fellini and David Lynch. It is a juxtaposition of life scenes and actions that have nothing to do with each other in particular, that however create a fantastic dynamic and resolutely surreal experience.&rdquo;Absolutely. But it&#39;s worth adding that the film really has the true&nbsp;quality of a dream. These scenarios are conjured from imagination, like a random dreamer&#39;s thoughts, with&nbsp;a coherent narrative just tantalisingly out of reach.&nbsp;&nbsp;
