Shirley Collins, a legend of British folk music, has a new album coming out - her first for 38 years, no less. Maverick filmmaker Nick Abrahams has directed the video for the first single Death And The Lady - and he&#39;s also making a comeback of sorts. This is his first video since Sigur Ros&#39;s <a href="http://promonews.tv/videos/2012/09/28/sigur-r%C3%B3s-ekki-m%C3%BAkk-nick-abrahams" target="_blank">Ekki Mukk</a>, featuring Aiden Gillen,&nbsp;four years ago.&nbsp;In the Sigur Ros film&nbsp;Gillen rambles through the countryside, accompanied by a talking snail, the voice supplied by Collins, who took the part after being approached by Abrahams.&nbsp;This film is in some ways a companion piece to that, continuing to explore the oddness and ancient magic to be found&nbsp;in rural England, and the cycle&nbsp;of nature.With his collaborators, including DoP Ole Birkeland and artist Cathy Ward, Abrahams embraces the song&#39;s theme with imagery of skulls - one of the locations was the ossuary, or crypt, at St Leonards Church in Hythe&nbsp;- and &#39;hooden horses&#39; of ancient Kentish custom. But it&#39;s also a celebration of life, and we witness birth even within the symbol of death: a chick hatched in a bird&#39;s nest found in an ancient skull.&nbsp;And there is&nbsp;Shirley Collins&nbsp;herself, now 81, a serene and happy presence in the film, and with the help of Abrahams, a revived voice breathing fresh life into traditional&nbsp;English folk music.[imgtoken data:1] &nbsp;&nbsp;

Mollie King makes a clean break from her former life as a Saturdays girl,&nbsp;ramping up the sophistication and sexiness in the process, courtesy of Lisa Gunning&#39;s very stylish&nbsp;promo for Back To You.&nbsp;It starts with a cliffhanger - literally so - with a suspenseful romantic drama playing out in both flashback and reverse (including elements of backward lipsyncing) with Mollie engaging in nights of tempestuous passion with&nbsp;the guy for whom she has decidedly mixed feelings.&nbsp;Shot in&nbsp;Sussex - with&nbsp;the cliffhanging shots resourcefully achieved&nbsp;in Peacehaven near Brighton - it&#39;s another impressive step in Lisa Gunning&#39;s path&nbsp;from being a top film editor to being a top director.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Christopher Hewitt of film/animation studio Bearfight has taken advantage of a song called Collide Sparks to confirm there are few things quite as compelling as watching stuff smash to pieces at a thousand frames-per-second.
His video for squelchy techno outfit Blamma! Blamma! brings together some unexpected objects - like stuffed foxes heads (as if they haven't suffered enough). But mostly it's about two fine specimens of wobbly man-fat, careering towards each other at a healthy lick, in a combination of the 100metres with sumo wrestling.
Thankfully no-one was actually killed during the making of this video - not even the foxes.

"When Blamma! Blamma! first sent over Collide Sparks I instantly felt like the track deserved slow motion. The piece as a whole is very energetic and driving so the idea of juxtaposing the audio with slow, steady and smooth visuals seemed to really appeal.
"But with so many music videos out there that use slow motion we wanted to step away from using elements such as liquids, balloons etc. We came up with elements such as the typewriters, chairs and foxes heads, which worked great.
"It was really satisfying seeing the more sturdy of elements break apart at a 1000fps. The use of these harder objects was integral to the piece, the majority of the video focuses on the 'big fellas' and their more softer collisions, we felt showcasing harder collisions on the front and back end would really help mix up the visuals whilst also keeping the concept intact.
"The shoot day went extremely smoothly. Our producer Matt Mager came up with the bright idea of buying a huge air mattress which was placed underneath the flying objects.

"The main challenge was the filming of the wide collision scene between the guys. It was a fairly painful process. Aside from needing a crazy amount of light, in order to pull off the hero shot we needed the guys to run at each other at full pace.
"These were big guys too so we had to make sure they hit with a force they were both comfortable with."
