Khalid's song New Normal was premiered with a live performance at&nbsp;Virgin Galactic’s Unity 22 Spaceflight launch earlier this month, and in keeping with that, the video directed by Andy Hines reflects a positive take on technology.It features the singer in an idealised version of the near&nbsp;future - a non-dystopian&nbsp;interpretation that&nbsp;almost feels revolutionary. It's an appealing vision, with VFX from UK company We Are Covert.&nbsp;&nbsp;

As part of&nbsp;their project to release as many six-to-seven-minute music videos as possible in a single day - all for tracks on the new album Hardwired... to Self-Destruct, Metallica team up with Claire Marie Vogel to deliver a harrowing video for Confusion.The video follows a female war veteran, suffering from PTSD and trying to adjust to life after military service. Through cinematic flashbacks we see her try to adjust to office life, whilst little things constantly remind her of her time in active duty. As the video moves forward, more and more elements from both sides of her life blend into one another, as she&nbsp;battles to overcome her trauma.It&#39;s a narrative with some excellent visual motifs, including a blink-and-you&#39;ll-miss-it reference to Metallica&#39;s new album on a coffee mug.

In Fleur and Manu&#39;s ambitious, layered, cameo-littered epic for&nbsp;A$AP Rocky&#39;s Everyday, we follow the irrepressible Rocky&#39;s career in reverse - from a point where all that lavish living has definitely caught up with him.Bloated, used-up, and face-down in a pool, Everyday (which samples Rod Stewart&#39;s vocal from In A Broken Dream)&nbsp;tracks an old rapper&#39;s past through flashbacks which see him popping prescription pills and going under the knife to retain his fading looks, becoming unrecognisable. Rod (who has looked after himself)&nbsp;makes a brief appearance too, and Mark Ronson, as this whirlwind of scenes of partying, drugs and girls reveals present-day Rocky in all his current gorgeousness.There&#39;s a&nbsp;&#39;money can&#39;t buy&nbsp;happiness&#39;&nbsp;message in there somewhere, but Rocky still comes out as more of a carpe diem&nbsp;type of guy...&nbsp;

Oh, and an attractive woman sitting on his manly pick-up&nbsp;truck...

If you thought it was getting hard to do something strikingly new with choreography in music videos, think again. Robert Hales has delivered this stirring promo for Muse&#39;s new single Dead Inside, which centres on&nbsp;a mesmerising interaction in dance&nbsp;from Kathryn McCormick and&nbsp;William Wingfield.The&nbsp;choreography&nbsp;by Tessandra Chavez is brilliant, and the photography (by&nbsp;Todd Banhazl)&nbsp;and editing (by Bill Yukich)&nbsp;of the performance is exceptional. Meanwhile, Muse also perform, becoming an increasingly significant on-screen presence as the song develops. Excellent stuff.&nbsp;

Cavalier is the first part of an ambitious trilogy of videos directed by Aoife McArdle&nbsp;for James Vincent McMorrow&#39;s new album Post Tropical, shot in a struggling community in California.&nbsp;It&#39;s a portrait of a young man on a binge of drink, drugs and women at a poledancing club - the response to an emotional pain that becomes clear at the end.Aoife and her actor explored&nbsp;method acting techniques to achieve this anguished&nbsp;performance.&nbsp;And Aoife was also reunited with DoP Steve Annis, winner of the Best Cinematography in a Video at this year&#39;s UK MVAs for his work on the McArdle-directed video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2013/04/30/jon-hopkins-%E2%80%98open-eye-signal%E2%80%99-aoife-mcardle" target="_blank">Jon Hopkins&#39; Open Eye Signal</a>.&nbsp;
