Emil Nava keeps up his track record of delivering slick, visually rich pop performance videos with an edge.This clip for Jennifer Hudson is awash with electric blue light that drenches the vast, dilapidated space that Hudson performs in. Cutting between this sparse, striking visual and footage of Hudson making her way through a crowded rave&nbsp;is a great contrast.Somehow the rave scene manages to be visually reminiscent of the infamous &#39;hammer fight&#39; scene in Oldboy, except with more colourful partying and less hammer-based violence. No? Just me?

Sam Smith&#39;s theme for the latest James Bond film&nbsp;Spectre&nbsp;has been released with this ultra-slick&nbsp;video by&nbsp;Luke Monaghan,&nbsp;featuring exclusive clips from the film as well as cinematic shots of the singer performing on&nbsp;some of the&nbsp;film&#39;s most stunning locations in Rome.Editor Paul O&rsquo;Reilly was forced to relocate&nbsp;to Pinewood Studios&nbsp;in order to edit the video, due to the security surrounding&nbsp;the movie, released later this month.&nbsp;O&#39;Reilly was required to&nbsp;complete all his work at the&nbsp;studios,&nbsp;and the film footage had to stay on site for the duration.&nbsp;&ldquo;Obviously there was incredibly tight security on the footage we were given,&rdquo; says Paul&nbsp;O&rsquo;Reilly, based at Stitch Editing and Homespun.&nbsp;&ldquo;Initially we were only provided with the footage from the official trailer to make the first&nbsp;cut. However we were given the unexpected but wonderful privilege of meeting Sam Mendez and&nbsp;Barbara Brocolli. We were all understandably nervous for them to view our work but they were&nbsp;lovely - really positive about our ideas - and after a pitch with them and their production team they&nbsp;granted us an additional forty&nbsp;minutes of footage&nbsp;to help support the narrative of the music video.&rdquo;The footage provided had a limited amount of frames per shot, so&nbsp;had to be carefully curated to slot into the music video, without revealing too much of the film&rsquo;s plot.&ldquo;The extra footage gave us an opportunity to intertwine moments that really spoke to the narrative&nbsp;of the song and Luke&rsquo;s footage. It&rsquo;s been an amazing project to work on. An unforgettable&nbsp;experience, with some rather&nbsp;unforgettable rushes!&rdquo;

With beautiful photography from Daniel Trapp, Ross Cairns delivers this cinematic &#39;international&#39; crime caper to partner Pure Love&#39;s Beach Of Diamonds. With the band&#39;s Frank and Jimmy in the lead roles - and giving very convincing performances too - Cairns contrasts high-tech violence with a palatial, sumptuous setting.&quot;Shot in Spain over an intense and literally sleepless 48 hours by a crew of essentially two, and then posted over considerably more than 48 hours, fuelled by enthusiasm and Wagamamas,&quot; explains Ross. &quot;We were keen to take a narrative approach to this video and for some time I thought that Frank could carry a performance removed from his front man day job. I wrote a short story of two totally conflicting characters brought together by a controlling third party for a heist and then adapted for the video, taking the title and lyrics for further inspiration. I wanted to find a balance, bringing lighter moments to offset the dark stuff.&quot;It was a crazily compressed window to shoot in, not least because of problems with airport security resulting in missed flights, so we just all got into the groove, worked hard together in what little time we had and made it work. &quot;Post was handled by Prime Focus who I&#39;d spoken to about the idea while practically resident with them on a commercial in the Summer. I shared rushes and they were onboard. Over several weeks, a small but focussed team put in effort and skill above and beyond.&quot;As well as the video cut, I came away with enough good footage for an extended cut, that&#39;s currently sitting comfortably at 10 minutes. The aim is to get that ready in time for the album release in Feb and the band are creating some original material for the score. Set in a real pet shop with an excellent performance and starring role for actor Craig Roberts (from Submarine), Richard Pengelley's compelling promo for Kassidy's One Man Army is a real treat.
"The idea really is about a kid who works in a pet shop and wants out so slowly plots his escape," explains Richard. "He is oppressed by his boss inside and the world outside and feels trapped. As a kid I found pet shops a little freaky and in a way I still do.
"There were a few references to [1970s Brit movie] Kes in the treatment and a hint of oppression with darker themes which where expanded after chatting to the band, they really liked the idea of escape. The track has an amazing inspiring feel to it so these images worked.
"Craig was amazing to work with and he really got into it, he's captivating on camera and truly funny off camera. A proper dude.
"We had to shoot while the shop was open to the public so the style had to be handheld and flexible, which Ben Spence our DP captured beautifully. There's even a great improv moment with a customer and Craig who served them while playing his role. A great team all round to be honest and a great day's filming".

Blurring the edges between full-scale feature and music video, Mattias Erik Johansson delivers this quite epic trailer-style promo for the Kaiser Chiefs' shiny new single Listen To Your Head.
"Our location manager, Damon Crane, was on foot for three days negotiating with anyone and their mother's aunt to secure as many shooting options as possible," explains exec producer Mikey Levelle.

"Our cast were simply amazing and of course, without the realistic time keeping expertise of James Dyer beautiful cinematography of Matt Fox we never would have got there".
