Taking inspiration from the title of the track and the concept of the new Public Service Broadcasting album,&nbsp;They Gave Me A Lamp&nbsp;reflects on the history of coal mining communities in the UK.Shot in a retired mining site, archive footage of the communities that were built around the site is projected onto Public Service Broadcasting as they perform. The camera acts as the wondering spirit floating through darkness and light as we capture a&nbsp;solemn&nbsp;but powerful performance that builds to a triumphant and hopeful crescendo.

Jack Lightfoot presents three slick, dazzling live videos for Kasabian as part of Vevo&#39;s&nbsp;Off The Record&nbsp;series.Using an absolute mountain of lights, Lightfoot and his crew have created three very distinct looking performance videos that still all fall under a unified aesthetic. The addition of anamorphic lenses and a couple of steadicams&nbsp;turns this into a great, polished bit of live&nbsp;session work with a real music video flare.&nbsp;

Sometimes all you need are a bunch of guys in monk&#39;s habits and hoods wearing LED masks,&nbsp;and some smoke.&nbsp;Directing duo Brain Wash prove as much in their atmospheric and hypnotic video for Shobaleader One - the &#39;live band&#39; side project of Squarepusher.And as Brain Wash&nbsp;reveal below, the cover of Black Sabbath&#39;s Paranoid was definitely an influence. DoP Yiannis Manolopoulos&#39;s cinematography establishes the mood.&nbsp;And those LED masks, programmed by Zak Norman, are very cool indeed.

English five-piece&nbsp;Mallory Knox have received an impressively&nbsp;visceral video&nbsp;for Better Off Without You&nbsp;by That Jam.&nbsp;And thanks to the work of&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Matt Vahey, the video&#39;s photographic treatment&nbsp;is remarkably&nbsp;dynamic, suitably dismal in tone&nbsp;and beautifully varied in texture.&nbsp;With an aim to &quot;complement the blistering energy of the track,&quot; That Jam have created a&nbsp;convulsive piece of work, channeling&nbsp;the songwriter&#39;s&nbsp;personal story of emotional instability, confusion,&nbsp;over-medication and difficulty in dealing&nbsp;with chronic depression.&quot;For many, going to a doctor and speaking about an illness of the mind can be a difficult thing, and can require great courage to accept and admit you no longer have full control of your own thoughts and feelings,&quot; the band explained, &quot;to be given a pill and told &quot;see how it goes&quot;, or made to wait months to talk for ten&nbsp;minutes to a professional is the reality many face.&quot;With the video, the band have addressed the destructive results of&nbsp;society&#39;s &#39;quick fix&#39; mentality,&nbsp;hoping to spread an awareness of the terrible isolation it can bring to mental health patients.

There&#39;s a well-choreographed love triangle brewing in Tough Love&#39;s video by James Partridge.Using minimal props and set dressing in a large outdoor space, Partridge tells a love triangle tale with a twist. Stripping everything down to the bare minimum and letting the action tell the story, a floating camera wraps around the trio as they vie for each other&#39;s attention - letting natural light texture the various setups. Clever cuts keep the fluidity of the video alive until the very end.

Following the money has been the subject of TV shows and documentaries, and now it&#39;s the theme of the absorbing video&nbsp;for South London singer Rukhsana Merrise&#39;s Mon&pound;y.&nbsp;Shot in Brixton,&nbsp;Matthew Hopper&#39;s&nbsp;music video directing debut&nbsp;starts with Rukhsana writing on a &pound;5 note, and then dropping it. Then we follow its journey, as it passes through several hands, and into the underworld. Each scenario gets its due - and there&#39;s a satisfying ending too.

Shot in Hackney, East London,&nbsp;Shockone&#39;s video for City Lock follows a homeless man wheeling around an&nbsp;elaborate&nbsp;soundsystem on a trolley, hypnotising city-dwellers as he passes by with the sound of City Lock.Armed with an irresistible bass,&nbsp;the man single-handedly&nbsp;entrances his random subjects,&nbsp;who can&#39;t help but drop whatever they&#39;re doing to&nbsp;dance - in zombie fashion&nbsp;-&nbsp;towards the direction of the music. And once he hikes up the sound, the number of dancers grows to&nbsp;a nice little following behind him,&nbsp;until the song ends and&nbsp;the spell is broken, leaving the people dazzled where they stand.

It features Blindeye&rsquo;s usual high production quality with some soft and delicate 16mm footage.&ldquo;Shot on 16mm film (with some Super 8 flash-backs) on location in Hampshire&rsquo;s New Forest. We wanted to build the idea of a road-trip featuring vast landscapes as the backdrop, and using the grainy/gritty aesthetic of the film to enhance the raw vibe of the narrative.&ldquo;Fortunately, the weather was on our side for most of the day, which offered a great sunset to capture the final performance on the last roll of film!&rdquo;
