A new song from Fleet Foxes has given Sean Peckold&nbsp;and his partner Adi Goodrich the opportunity to complete a dance trilogy, and reflect upon the emotional impact of the pandemic through choreography.&nbsp;Featuring Jade-Lorna Sullivan (who also featured in the video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2017/05/29/fleet-foxes-fools-errand-sean-pecknold/47915" target="_blank">Fool's Errand</a>)&nbsp;and Jean Charles (the lead in the video for song suite <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/09/10/fleet-foxes-i-am-all-i-needarroyo-secothumbprint-scar-sean-pecknold/54934" target="_blank">I Am All That I Need/Arroyo Seco/Thumbprint Scar</a>), with choreography by&nbsp;Steven Reker, this is a dance piece for Can I Believe In You, that takes place in a studio environment of near-abstract theatrical set-ups, designed by Goodrich, that encapsulate the spirit of Fleet Foxes.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]This is the tenth video directed by Sean Pecknold for his brother Robin's band - a&nbsp;marvellous addition to&nbsp;a collaboration that began with the videos for the first Fleet Foxes album in 2008, including White Winter Hymnal, and has become a major body of work.

Fleet Foxes - Can I Believe You

Drawing inspiration from 90s nostalgia, Audrey Ellis Fox's video for ONR and Phantogram's Sarah Barthel is a cinematic portrayal of sunken romances, for the naggingly catchy Must Stop.&nbsp;With ONR (aka Scottish singer-songwriter Robert David Shields) in Manchester and Barthel in LA, Fox adopts a nouvelle vague aesthetic to tie their performances together,&nbsp;intercut with deeply contrasting, colour-saturated footage of the sometime objects of their affections. We get hints of storylines as we glimpse at these glamourous but dangerous exes, on a particular Saturday night.Ultimately the video becomes a collage of vignettes juxtaposed with the increasingly emotional turns by the performers. Nice work.

Gallant's latest video has real legs. Bennett Johnson directs this clever piece of choreography, in which Gallant tries to escape a sharp-heeled femme fatale. The&nbsp;twist being that we only see either of them&nbsp;from the thigh down.Ever heard of the <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/science/head-quarters/2016/sep/19/the-thatcher-illusion-are-faces-special">Thatcher Illusion</a>? Try staring into your friend's eyes, upside-down, for more than a minute. More likely than not, your brain will begin to compensate, and start seeing a horrifying inverted 'correct'&nbsp;face with a forehead for a chin. Well, there’s a moment as you’re watching Sharpest Edges where you stop seeing cropped humans. And you&nbsp;start seeing anthropomorphic pairs of legs with personalities, fears and dreams.&nbsp;The trick is pretty spectacular. A&nbsp;potent reminder that there is still room for experimentation in the most obvious of places.
