American singer-songwriter Stephen Sanchez, joins&nbsp;forces with Charlie Rees&nbsp;to create a gripping narrative in his latest music video.The promo&nbsp;for Death Of The Troubadour transports viewers into a dramatic, Western-inspired narrative, which mirrors the song's themes of drama and suspense.&nbsp;Taking&nbsp;place in a '50s mobster bar, the video sees&nbsp;Sanchez perform the track in front of an intense crowd, right up until a dramatic bar fight. Short and sweet, the video is tinged with heartbreak and wistfulness, whilst remaining slick and theatrical.[imgtoken data:1]Charlie Rees says DoP Billy Kendall and producer Alex Handschuh made exceptional contributions to the project, and Untold Studios' EP&nbsp;Annie Ayres deserves special thanks for her role in bringing the project to life. He also gives special mention to choreographer and fight coordinator Isky Fay.&nbsp;"I've incorporated quite a lot of dance choreography into my work in the past, but this was the first time that I have ever directed a fight scene,” says Charlie&nbsp;Rees. “Isky, who has&nbsp;worked with everyone from Jason Statham to Johnny Depp,&nbsp;was amazing and really collaborative throughout."We were under a lot of pressure, but we made it happen! I love creating theatrical set pieces and want to do it more throughout my work."

Kassandra Powell directs an atmospheric promo for singer-songwriter Lucy Lane, bringing to life a dark fairy tale.&nbsp;The video concept for Don't Want To Be Angry focusses&nbsp;on a girl whose anger grows in her hair.&nbsp;Across three abstract vignettes, we see Lane embody this character, eventually breaking through and releasing her anger in a decisive climax.&nbsp;The dark fantasy aesthetic is a perfect pairing to the concept, with painterly lighting and a sense of inspired minimalism to keep the focus purely on performance.&nbsp;

Baxter Dury observes the absurdities of love and courtship as characters from classic romanticist paintings come to life, in Noel Paul's impressive promo for Celebrate Me.&nbsp;In a dreamlike&nbsp;world which Paul established in his first Baxter Dury video for Aylesbury Boy,&nbsp;we see the whimsical, playful vignettes unravel with Baxter in the centre of it all, playing both narrator and spectator to the chaos.&nbsp;Slowly getting more and more enveloped by the dreamlike scenes, Baxter doesn't get a happy ending in this one, but the journey is certainly a lot of fun.&nbsp;Another great&nbsp;visual feast from Noel Paul - including&nbsp;a cameo from Friend EP&nbsp;Danny Herman.&nbsp;

Noel Paul directs a suitably uncanny promo for Baxter Dury - the first of a series of videos ffor the lugubrious singer-songwriter.The video for&nbsp;Aylesbury Boy is a feverish, super-vibrant trip into Dury's subconscious. In the song, he is recounting moments from his own youth; in Paul's nightmarish&nbsp;approximation,&nbsp;he's terrorised by a devil, some goblins and a bunch of school kids.&nbsp;With cinematography by Ramzi Hibri,&nbsp;this has an otherworldly atmosphere, in the vein of Paul's&nbsp;UKMVA-winning video for Black Midi's Sugar/Tzu. Abstract imagery clashes head-on with a soft, almost romantic aesthetic, which creates an&nbsp;uncomfortabl yet riveting atmosphere, which seems to reflect a certain personal version of Hell.“Wes Anderson, The Shining, Jabberwocky...&nbsp;Noel has made something so intuitive and beyond my expectations," says Baxter Dury of the video for Aylesbury Boy. Hugh Mulhern directs a surreal performance promo for&nbsp;Fontaines D.C.In the video for Skinty Fia - which takes its namesake from the group's upcoming third LP - we see vocalist&nbsp;Grian Chatten in the middle of a hedonistic celebration, trapped among a cast of eccentric characters, bizarre rituals and an overflowing sense of excess.&nbsp;The video opens with an oscillating multicoloured light darting through empty fields and into an enigmatic building, before the concept distorts into a haunting series of warped vignettes. The dreamlike aesthetic is grounded by Chatten's calm and collected attitude, which contrasts the disorder and chaos around him.&nbsp;In the same vein as the other video releases from this album, the concept transcends the performance and morphs into something otherworldly and uncanny, and perfectly fits the unusual atmosphere in the song.&nbsp;

Emma J. Gilbertson explores power and control in her breatkhtaking promo for Cody Frost.A work&nbsp;of two halves, the first section of the video for DWYSSWM, is a candy-coated dance number which feels innocent and dynamic, but this soon delves into a darker, more twisted aesthetic to represent the themes of the track, with the artist bound by ropes in the fashion of the Japanese Shibari method.&nbsp;"Inspired by the lyrics of the song, we wanted to create a video about abusive and controlling relationships," Gilbertson explains. "We decided to go for a Valentine's day-themed first half to show abusive relationships can often be hidden under sweet sentiments. In the second half of the video we wanted to reveal the true nature and insidiousness of the relationship."&nbsp;Movement is the true focus of the visual, and the vessel through which the concept comes to life, alongside bold colour schemes and frenetic camera movement.&nbsp;"Joshua choreographed the movement to be controlling Cody, with a forced smile to attempt to keep up the facade," continues Gilbertson.&nbsp;"We used Shibari as an artform to show how trapped Cody's character was, as well as vibrant lighting to power the anger of the song."
