Nathan James Tettey reunites with Headie One to direct&nbsp;a cinematic promo for viral track Martin's Sofa.&nbsp;The director leans into the themes of the track, which pay tribute to a friend who helped the artist right at the start of his career.&nbsp;A montage of&nbsp;vignettes play out across the four-minute runtime, ranging from dreamlike, vibrant set pieces to exterior performance sections, all tied together with a sense of community and friendship. And having just signed to Knucklehead for global representation, it's a great way for Tettey to start a new chapter in his career.&nbsp;&nbsp;"Making Martin's Sofa was the most out of body experience I’ve endured in a while but I loved every second of it and to see the response from Headie’s fans has been incredible to witness because really making this video was for them as well as for Headie and Martin," Tettey has said. "Martin's actual sofa is real and was used in the video but the sentiment of what Headie is talking about is also real as well and for me was perfectly illustrated in the process all of us went through trying to bring his vision to life. Getting up each day at the crack of dawn and working into the deep of night to try and solve as many problems and tick as many boxes as is humanly possible before getting back up to do it all again the next day. Sekou Abineri presents a thrilling portrait of Athens in his promo for Marina Satti.&nbsp;Blending traditional Greek culture with&nbsp;modern-day youth culture in the city, the video for&nbsp;Spirto Ke Venzini is a fast-paced, intoxicating ride with vibrant cinematography and inventive sound design.&nbsp;"For the video, we wanted to look at the Ancient Greek custom of Klidonas," says Abineri. "This is a ritual that takes place at the end of June and involves the single girls from a village placing good luck charms into a pot."The charms are later removed as other villager’s prophecies as to whom the girls are going to marry. At night a bonfire is lit and people jump over it as an act of purification and revival."&nbsp;

Josh Thornton-Allan directs an strikingly art directed performance&nbsp;promo for James Bay's Give Me The Reason.&nbsp;Effortlessly elegant, the video centres on Bay's emotional performance of the song, further elevated by impressive art direction and inspired lighting.The emblematic backdrop of a glowing orange sun provides a canvas for some striking silhouettes, and matches the emotive thematic elements in the lyrics.“I was really interested in the work of Olafur Eliasson, an artist who uses large scale light constructions in his work - particularly monochromatic light,” explains Thornton-Allan. “This seemed like a really unique way to explore the shifting emotionality of a dying relationship."We approached the lighting from a purely practical position, creating a monochromatic lighting setup with our giant sun and then during the chorus filling James with colour using regular, chromatic spotlights.”&nbsp;It is a perfect example of simplicity done right, and a promising comeback for the singer-songwriter, in anticipation of his third studio album.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1][imgtoken data:2]

Jocelyn Anquetil directs a sizzling showcase for the return of Sudan Archives - aka US singer/violinist Brittney Denise Parks - with Home Maker,&nbsp;in an unlikely setting.&nbsp;Sudan Archives struts into an indoor&nbsp;second-hand flea market to check out the furniture - dressed to kill and ready for action - with a few mesmerized males meekly in tow.&nbsp;The guys are prompted join her provocative,&nbsp;high-energy performance, and when the lights go down low, a pillow fight ensues under strobing UV lights.A diverse range of recording equipment - including&nbsp;CCTV footage and camcorders - captures the action,&nbsp;to create a world that feels anachronistic and playful, and heighten a saucy sense of voyeurism and tongue-in-cheek sexiness.With the&nbsp;inspired styling and atypical choice of location, and a terrific edit by Charlie Von Rotberg, it's a brilliantly orchestrated work by Anquetil.
