Edem Wornoo brings us into a hazy, blissed-out world of super-chilled and silver-hued folk for singer-songwriter Ash Carvell, aka&nbsp;Quarry.Warnoo's video for Sound Of Your Summer&nbsp;has taken a while to see the light of day. It's significant as it marks the start of his journey as a music video director - which has seen him go on to work with the likes of Dave and Stormzy."Two and a half years ago, I was broke doing whatever I could to get on set and applying for any job I could find with 'creative'&nbsp;in the title - I didn’t get a single one," he recalls.&nbsp;"Then, one faithful day, I got a completely random email from Connor O'Hara and Jamie Gamache at Lowkey Films telling me that they were fans of my work (which at the time was a few super low budget shorts and music vids). We started pitching on videos and the first video that we landed was this."The video&nbsp;was in purgatory for two years and just when I thought it’d never come out, it dropped online. This videos special to me because it has what I can only describe as a magical thread that’s woven throughout every scene that I still strive for till this day. I couldn’t thank Connor, Jamie and everyone else at Lowkey enough for the adventures we’ve had making crazy vids in even crazier circumstances."

The interconnectedness of the concept is highlighted by the use of the same shots to end one video and begin another, and a separate vignette suggests this will be the case for the third and final promo as well.&nbsp;The arresting imagery is stripped-back yet very effective, and remains open to interpretation.&nbsp;"Promised Love (Part 2) was truly the most humbling process to trust and believe in this vision," says Rianne White. "There is so much I could say about this film, but the real beauty of it is bringing this moment to the audience to find their own meaning within it."It's powerful to remind ourselves how we really feel and connect when we slow down and listen."&nbsp;&nbsp;

Rianne White directs the first of three visuals for London-based&nbsp;Winnie Raeder's new EP, with&nbsp;a minimalist and near abstract piece for The End Of Me.&nbsp;The video explores connection and comfort, visualised through two pairs of hands entangled in twine, attempting to reach each other and free themselves from their binding. Rianne White explains that the idea came from the clarity&nbsp;of Raeder's delivery of her music.&nbsp;"Winnie has a sound that grants you access to your inner world and has you locked in a dance with yourself as you feel every word and note of it," she reflects.&nbsp;"We spoke about connection, feeling uncomfortable, playing with the nerve in the song - a place where you can be both fearless and vulnerable, consumed by a gas leak effect of your own emotions. Let’s sit still, and really feel it."The focus upon this symbolic imagery, and infusion of emotion perfectly match the downtempo track. Bjorn Franklin and Johnny Marchetta direct a poignant exploration of love and togetherness, in their promo for Calum Scott.&nbsp;The video for Biblical is split between a series of underwater vignettes and a powerful performance section, linked together in an abstract way.&nbsp;The underwater setups present snapshots of intimate relationships between various couples, whilst Scott watches on from a nondescript vantage point.When one character takes Scott's attention, however, he takes the plunge and breaks down the wall, finding himself in the water too... But was the jump worth it, and will it pay off?&nbsp;Beautifully shot by&nbsp;Simon Plunket, the low key colour palettes and minimalist art direction push the focus onto character and narrative, allowing viewers to project their own feelings and experiences onto the concept."Love is biblical was the theme of our story - capturing intimate moments, that felt locked in time, a feeling of almost serene weightlessness," explain Franklin and Marchetta."Using the underwater setting, we were able to portray dream like moments of love. Intertwined with Callum’s setting where he played the part of the observer, someone who watched and eventually took a leap of faith and searching for that same feeling himself."&nbsp;&nbsp;

Greg Barth's latest collaboration with Leicester indie-R&amp;Bers Easy Life takes its cue from their excellent previous work - and one video in particular - and the cover of their just-released debut album&nbsp;Life's A Beach.As always frontman Murray Matravers takes centre stage, in a fantastical scenario where his bandmates paly supporting roles - both to Murray and his giant goldfish friend.&nbsp;As Greg explains below, its a surreal sequel of sorts to the animated <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Db_Gf9z8jk" target="_blank">Message To Myself</a> video. It's also the latest in an extensive body of Easy Life work over the past couple of years by the Swiss-born and London-based director, from the video for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-dQnXExTp2w" target="_blank">Nightmares</a> (featuring Jamie Demetriou of Stath Lets Flats) to the recent Gondryesque <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=87U_l3AvyX0" target="_blank">Skeletons</a>. LOOSE&nbsp;directs a poignant promo for Berwyn's latest song, the heartfelt&nbsp;100,000,000.&nbsp;The video seamlessly connects several clever setups in and around a car, utilising motion control, fluid art direction and visual effects to form an&nbsp;abstract yet interconnected narrative.&nbsp;The setting is of particular importance, given the story of the song. As Berwyn explained&nbsp;on Instagram: "Wrote this (track) in YMCA carpark sitting in the driver's seat of the car I was sleeping in. For that she's a special one of my children so I hope u like her." &nbsp;The performer's natural charm and wit shine through in the performance, switching between different eras of his life with ease, paying homage to the struggle whilst celebrating where he is now.&nbsp;Effortlessly engaging and innovative, it's a blinder of a video by the director now operating under the monicker LOOSE - fka Lucy Hickling). Directing duo Machine Operated grant us access to Greentea Peng's cool and colourful world, from the beginning of her day (which involves drinking tea) to an evening performing the track Nah It Ain't The Same with her band.There are several trippy digressions from her gentle, groovy routine too, prompted by the camera stopping on the details of her day: the photos on her kitchen wall, the close-up of her burning joint, a bunch of flowers... Suddenly we're in another place entirely, or looking at a toy bus and a bus-shaped purse containing miniature toy money.This all seems ideal for Greentea Peng and her&nbsp;brand of woozy, London-bred jazz-pop. It's the second video for her by Machine Operated -&nbsp;Josh Hercules&nbsp;and Nathan Taylor -&nbsp;who have&nbsp;captured the spirit of her mystique.&nbsp;

Eloise tries to move on from her past in the dreamy promo for Hungover, directed by Nicolee Tsin.&nbsp;Letting loose in a sun-drenched apartment building, we see the artist and two dancers move swiftly through several laidback vignettes, taking time for some R&amp;R after the breakup of a relationship.&nbsp;DoP&nbsp;Carmen Pellon matches the relaxed energy with gentle camera movement and bright, organic lighting, creating a dreamlike aesthetic where worries can melt away."Hungover is about reminiscing and forgetting an ex-lover," explains Tsin.&nbsp;"I wanted to capture moments where we indulge in quintessential pleasures - we dance freely in front of the mirror, we dress up, we daydream and wonder if we could be a kid again..."They gently reminds us to feel comfortable in our own skin and have a little more fun, just as the way Eloise makes us feel in her music."
