David Wilson delivers a righteous, ultimately joyous accompaniment to a classic Arcade Fire cri de ceour We Exist, thanks to a gripping performance by&nbsp;Andrew Garfield, showing that he is a more courageous actor than the&nbsp;Amazing Spider-Man allows.&nbsp;In fact, this also involves a change of garb, but a more profound transformation. The Garfield character&#39;s need to express himself as a woman&nbsp;leads him to a bar where he puts himself at the mercy of the local rednecks. But the predictable outcome of victimisation and violence - with echoes of Boys Don&#39;t Cry, the film about the murder of transgender teenager&nbsp;Brandon Teena &ndash;&nbsp;gets turned on its head.Drama becomes fantasy, as Garfield&#39;s aggressors become dancers - this is the second collaboration&nbsp;in quick succession, between David Wilson and&nbsp;choreographer Ryan Heffington who (as well as working on the Sia Chandelier video) choreographed David&#39;s superb video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2014/05/06/hercules-love-affair-ft-john-grant-i-try-talk-you-david-wilson" target="_blank">Hercules &amp; Love Affair&#39;s I Try To Talk To You</a>.And then comes the brilliant payoff. Garfield is led by his dancer guardian angels through a portal into the real world: Coachella 2014, and Arcade Fire are playing We Exist. A moved (or quite possibly terrified) Garfield joins the band on stage. What a moment.&nbsp;

An unmistakeable slab of Daniels&rsquo; virtuosity graces the video for Passion Pit&rsquo;s Cry Like A Ghost &ndash; about a girl who&rsquo;s on an emotional rollercoaster &ndash; and physically swinging from guy to guy during the course of the video. It almost resembles a horror film at first, shot in a dark forest, but the characteristic whimsy of Messrs Scheinert and Kwan comes bubbling through as her unsatisfying urban encounters with various chaps burst through the trees. It&#39;s a leftfield idea that is initially almost bamboozling, because the video is true to the traditions of the genre. Patrick, back to directing after a year-plus sabbatical, plays it straight with a combination of intrigue, romance, evildoing and derring-do. You just have to disentangle a number of simultaneous storylines, set in different timeframes and places (both South and North Korea) involving the same actors playing similar roles in the different narratives.Almost surprising too to see Patrick Daughters returning with something so averse to the cinematic production values for which he&#39;s renowned. But its so faithful to the subject you&#39;d be forgiven for thinking its the real McCoy, until a few characters start lipsyncing...

Its another virtuoso piece of action-packed entertainment - with a hint of satire at the heartlessness of the music industry. FTP succumb to a falling lighting rig on the eve of a big show - and the show must go on. So the band get reanimated... And are better than ever.
The follow-up to DANIELS' video for FTP's <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2012/01/20/foster-the-people-dont-stop-by-daniels/" target="_blank">Don't Stop</a> it was actually made before that one. In fact, Houdini is a year old - DANIELS directed it just after making their seminal Manchester Orchestra vid - but the label have held it back until now, due to the lengthy success of the Foster The People album.
And Dan and Daniel have also just finished a Converse 3 Artists 1 Song ad-cum-video project featuring <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watchv=_A30232q5RA" target="_blank">Mark Foster of Foster The People, A Trak and Kimbra</a>. What's more, there's a DANIELS-directed Tenacious D video on the way...
