Paul Kalkbrenner has recently released this third and&nbsp;final instalment of the FLORIAN trilogy, for his track Feed Your&nbsp;Head.&nbsp;Written by creatives Alexander Nowak and Felix Richter of Droga5 New&nbsp;York and&nbsp;directed by Björn Rühmann, the video marks the completion of the story that began with&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/05/22/paul-kalkbrenner-cloud-rider-bj%C3%B6rn-r%C3%BChmann" target="_blank">Cloud Rider</a>,&nbsp;and continued with&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/07/20/paul-kalkbrenner-mothertrucker-bj%C3%B6rn-r%C3%BChmann" target="_blank">Mothertrucker</a>.&nbsp;As the story goes,&nbsp;Florian,&nbsp;a friendly young foreigner in America,&nbsp;compulsively shares the music he loves with strangers but is&nbsp;continually&nbsp;met&nbsp;with aggressive and even violent rejection.&nbsp;This third instalment offers up &nbsp;a bittersweet compromise between hope and dejection.&nbsp;Florian&#39;s&nbsp;spirits are up again as he&nbsp;gives a&nbsp;triumphant&nbsp;performance at a talent show, in which his tormentors from the previous videos join him one by one&nbsp;in dancing and celebrating his beloved techno. But then comes the final&nbsp;twist...&nbsp;

Mothertrucker&nbsp;is the second instalment of the &#39;Florian&#39; video trilogy, spanning three tracks by German electronic music producer&nbsp;Paul Kalkbrenner.&nbsp;Written by creatives Alexander Nowak and Felix Richter of Droga5 New&nbsp;York and&nbsp;directed by Björn Rühmann,&nbsp;the material was shot over four days in Los Angeles.The first instalment, <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/05/22/paul-kalkbrenner-cloud-rider-bj%C3%B6rn-r%C3%BChmann" target="_blank">Cloud Rider</a>, introduced the painfully&nbsp;naïve yet lovable&nbsp;Florian,&nbsp;a young foreigner who&nbsp;compulsively shares the music he loves with strangers he meets on the street, only to be aggressively&nbsp;rejected.The second instalment continues directly after the first. Now Florian is bruised, blooded, battered and, not surprisingly, very upset at been beaten and robbed of his music player and headphones.&nbsp;He&#39;s also angry, and through his rage he begins to find some inner strength.Which, in this parable about the outsider role of the&nbsp;electronic dance music genre in the US, leaves us nicely set up for the third and final instalment: Feed Your Head.&nbsp;

Cloud Rider, the first video for Paul Kalkbrenner&#39;s forthcoming seventh album, suitably entitled 7, is the opening salvo&nbsp;of a music video trilogy directed by Björn Rühmann&nbsp;called FLORIAN, which focusses on the increasingly painful adventures of a true innocent abroad.Florian, with ill-advised open-heartedness,&nbsp;attempts to share the music he loves with strangers via his headphones, only to receive continual rejection, and increasingly, aggression.&nbsp;It is meant to parallel the peculiar outsider role of the electronic dance music genre in the US. Despite its origins in Chicago and Detroit, the electronic style to this day hasn&rsquo;t arrived in mainstream America and is paradoxically considered &lsquo;foreign.&rsquo;The trilogy was written by Alexander Nowak and Felix Richter,&nbsp;two creative directors at ad agency Droga5. It&#39;s the first time the agency has been involved in making a music video, and at the moment there is no visible involvement of another brand.And If this is being produced under a more advertising type of model, its a fascinating first step - both funny and harrowing - and shows that Björn Rühmann is a talent to be reckoned with.&nbsp;&nbsp;
