This introductory short film to the new musical project Who We Are -&nbsp;directed by London-based Australian&nbsp;directing duo Novemba,&nbsp;making their&nbsp;music project debut - explores the everyday heartbreak of being a parent and the deep complex emotions lurking beneath the surface.A creative collaboration between music, film and dance, this is fully realized by two debut Who We Are songs as the short film’s soundtrack – Book At Bedtime&nbsp;and Daydream&nbsp;– as well as Novemba’s signature visual style and enthralling choreographed performances by Dickson Mbi.[imgtoken data:1]Taking place in intimate, familiar settings, the overarching focus of the short film is on the unique pieces of raw, emotional expression from two individual characters: a father who is grappling with the difficulties that come with being a newly single parent, separated from his infant child; and a mother who faces unbearable tension and hostility from her teenage daughter, played by Chloe Hearn.It's a powerful two-parter, with outstanding performances by the dancers, deftly directed by Novemba.

Milo Blake turns Louis Dunford as the on-screen&nbsp;narrator of his own delinquent youth, in the cheerful and nostalgic video for When We Were Hooligans.With Dunford as a cabbie-troubadour, recounting his past as a teenage rascal in North London, Blake reinforces the storytelling by recreating the hi-jinx of two fun-loving 14 year olds - The Riff and The Raff - with a breezy, fastmoving style and a comedic touch.It shows the versatility of a young director who has already impressed with his UKMVA-nominated videos for Kam-Bu and Lord Apex.&nbsp;

Milo Blake directs a striking monochromatic visual for London rappers Kam Bu and Lord Apex.Utilising a constantly rotating camera and clever composition, Blake and DoP Brandon Quan pays homage to iconic films and promos in the video for Different.&nbsp;Old-school lens&nbsp;effects create a streaky, dreamy aesthetic which is hypnotic when paired with the perpetual camera movement.Blake uses the space and depth of the room in a clever and inspired way, and the experimental performance cutaways give this project a fresh and unique perspective. French film La Haine gets a nod in the art direction, an obvious influence in terms of gritty realism and the black and white colour palette.&nbsp;&nbsp;
