James Chappell directs an explosive promo for Australian alternative artist Kim Dracula.&nbsp;Starting on an aeroplane mid-flight, we see the artist take a seat as other passengers start looking nervous when the flight starts getting bumpy. When the plane implodes in a ball of flames, Dracula is one of the only survivors.&nbsp;Boasting Nineties alternative and Noughties emo inspiration in every scene, the video cycles through a series of slick, surreal vignettes, exuding an&nbsp;absurd yet utterly captivating vibe throughout.It's a&nbsp;rip-roaring introduction to the artist - for those who may not already be familiar.&nbsp;

Bill Bleakley follows up his previous video for DJ/producer Thomas Stell, aka&nbsp;Golden Features,&nbsp;with another mesmerising promo for the new single Vigil.&nbsp;The video&nbsp;follows a protagonist on a comedown from the night before, experiencing all manner of strange hallucinations - including floating through a pitch black void, eyes blinking in a deformed fashion and strangers under the sheet of his bed - before he detaches from reality completely.&nbsp;Culminating in a climax of surreal dance, the video playfully explores the journey to becoming human again after a heavy night, and does so in plenty of style.&nbsp;

'Bill' Bleakley follows up his excellent recent output, including videos for Confidence Man and Ocean Alley,&nbsp;with a riveting club-based drama&nbsp;for Sydney-based DJ/producer Golden Features.&nbsp;In the video for Touch, featuring Rromarin, a young man meets with friends in an industrial building,&nbsp;tagging the walls with graffiti and dancing within the bare structures of the rooms, before&nbsp;pulling back a plastic sheet to reveal a full-on illegal rave, and decide to dive right in.[imgtoken data:1]Drawn into the throbbing, strovbe-lit dancefloor, the boy soon finds himself attracted to a fellow dancer - and they come together to the hypnotic deep house of the track.Bleakely keeps a sense of fun with a bit of danger and drama throughout the piece, aided by outstanding cinematography by&nbsp;Jack Saltmiras. And it builds to an exciting&nbsp;climax.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Uncle Friendly returns to music videos after a six year absence to shoot&nbsp;the new music video for multi-ARIA award-winning Ghanaian-Australian artist, Genesis Owusu, GTFO - and test the viewer's squeamishness at the sight of horrible bugs.The film opens with Owusu - aka Kofi Ansah - kneeling in prayer before a candle-lit shrine in his home, reciting the song's opening lines. But then something distracts him:&nbsp;a great big cockroach scuttling across his living room floor.[imgtoken data:1]Something clearly must be done about this hideous creature. But what follows is just like one of those old-time cartoons&nbsp;- with Owusu as Wile E Coyote, or Elmer Fudd. His attempts to destroy the offending insect - by bug repellent spray, cricket bat, and whatever comes to hand - has catastrophic results. But only on himself and his apartment, while demonstrating the famed death-defying qualities of the irritatingly indestructable roach.[imgtoken data:2]And it is brilliantly done. This is a superbly daft yet riveting action-comedy from Aussie director Uncle Friendly - aka Rhett Wade-Ferrel. He uses all his experience as a director, writer - and sometime stuntman -&nbsp;to extract the maximum impact&nbsp;from his scenario, eliciting excellent&nbsp;performances from both the artist and his deadly nemesis.The bug is mainly a&nbsp;CGI creation, in fact, but an entirely convincing one. You may even start rooting for the little critter...
