Aidan Zamiri directs a stripped-back studio promo for&nbsp;Yung Lean X Bladee.Taking things back to basics - and with a very nostalgic&nbsp;monochromatic aesthetic - the video for Victorious focusses purely on performance, with some abstract creative flourishes peppered throughout.&nbsp;Using quick cutaways and minimalist art direction to flesh out the visual style, the video is less eccentric than much of Zamiri's music video work, but just as captivating and well executed.&nbsp;

Aidan Zamiri takes an iconoclastic leap into new territory, and shows that the stuffy British legal drama is ripe for reinvention in his wonderful video for indie duo Jockstrap.The video for the band's splendid Greatest Hits takes on a familiar story throughout&nbsp;pop and rock history, when fame and success leads to in-fighting, legal wrangling, and ends up in court in a blaze of publicity.&nbsp;The genius&nbsp;of the video is how Zamiri gives this story a properly rock 'n roll treatment.Princess Julia - DJ, writer,&nbsp;"beloved mother of London’s underground" (The Gentlewoman), whose first video appearance was in <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMPC8QJF6sI" target="_blank">Visage's Fade To Grey</a>&nbsp;-&nbsp;and actor John Foley are superbly cast as&nbsp;the feuding rock couple at the centre of the story, around whom a courtroom epic plays out,&nbsp;delivered through the prism of a lo-fi, trashy, surreal&nbsp;version of&nbsp;Court TV.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;As a continuous scrolling news tickertape relays details of the somewhat incomprehensible legal&nbsp;case, witnesses arrive and testify and legal&nbsp;officials of the courtroom&nbsp;mouth lyrics of the song. And the portrait by the courtroom artist bursts into full&nbsp;animation.With an unfeasibly large cast of characters and cameos - including Don Letts as a witness and Jamie xx on a legal team - this is&nbsp;a satire on fame and media frenzy that&nbsp;hits the mark without ever losing&nbsp;its sense of fun or cool.In fact, in our judgement, it's supercool.&nbsp;&nbsp;

One of the pivotal young British voices today, Pa Salieu's new&nbsp;freestyles Mista and Lennon are accompanied by a visual directed by Mickey Voak and shot by Thomas English, outside the court where he was recently on trial.The video, filmed outside of Warwickshire Combined Court, sees the young Midlands musician depict his frustrations with the court system and the personal impact that the passage of time has had on him. Pa’s best friend Fidel Glasgow was murdered during the incident back in 2018 but no one has been charged with this offence. This video was produced and shot with less than 48 hours notice and sees Pa express himself through a powerful performance.[imgtoken data:1]The video is comprised of two separate scenes, shot solely in black and white. The first a gritty guerrilla down-the-barrel&nbsp;one-shot captures Pa’s raw emotions and heartfelt sentiments. The second, shot inside a moving vehicle, captures Pa in a pensive and reflective state as he his driven away from the courtroom.Given the nature of the shoot, Voak, English and the production team at Stadium&nbsp;were working through the various challenges and time pressures. But the combination of the location and Pa Salieu's&nbsp;lyrics make for a absorbing four minutes of unfiltered performance captured in this gripping visual.

Aidan Zamiri directs a fabulous lo-fi romp for Swedish rapper Yung Lean and FKA twigs.&nbsp;The video for Bliss sees twigs waiting to be picked up for the prom by Lean - messaging him on Microsoft Excel in true <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WYHDfJDPDc">Nelly &amp; Kelly fashion</a>&nbsp;- and eventually going on a very British, very lo-fi journey through suburbia.[imgtoken data:1]There's a horse, a car with chandeliers attached to the front and a frantic older woman chauffeuring them around... and that's all in the first few moments.&nbsp;In true twigs fashion, it's off-the-wall but surprisingly fluid, and&nbsp;plays to Zamiri's Noughties fashion sensibilities. The whole video looks like it was shot on Hi8 - and it's brilliantly edited by Jack Foster and Zamiri.Most importantly, they make a great pairing of contrasting attitudes that entirely rings true for the concept: Lean is playing it cool, and managing to be almost entirely deadpan; while twigs&nbsp;is arguably at her most coquettish.&nbsp;It really is Bliss.[imgtoken data:2]

Harry Barber directs a vibrant, energetic portrait of a band at home in this candid clip for Courts.Conceived and shot in an impossibly small amount of time, the video follows Courts in their childhood home of Basildon and cuts between performance and more candid shots of the band and their friends in their territory.Brimming with the urgency that comes from just being excited about an idea and shooting it, there&#39;s a spontaneous energy and an earnestness to the video that you couldn&#39;t replicate with any amount of planning.
