Pain Surprises are a French collective of&nbsp;producers, writers, filmmakers,&nbsp;musicians and designers that have worked on commercials, club-nights (featuring some <a href="https://www.facebook.com/Painsurprises/info">pretty unusual acts</a>), records and music videos. &nbsp;It&#39;s safe to say that they are a pretty eclectic bunch!&nbsp;This video is pulls together some gritty undertones with some Escher-esque visuals to tell the story of a prostitute and her nefarious&nbsp;accomplice. &nbsp;The interesting narrative here twists the timeline over itself in several places and there&#39;s some excellent work from hair, wardrobe and make-up as our lady of the night appears in a number of different fantasies for a range of doomed men.

Aside from the lovely camera work and black and white sheen, the striking thing about this video for French singer-songwriter Christine and the Queens is the excellent acting. &nbsp;Then something dawns on you. &nbsp;Amazingly, all four characters - two female and two male - are the same performer. &nbsp;Christine takes the leads in her music video to excellent effect and kudos to the clever trickery used by The Barbarians (director)&nbsp;to pull this off. Reverse camera angles, body doubles and even some added post-production shaky-cam are combined to bring this confusing and impressive impressive video to life.&nbsp;

If you&rsquo;re looking for a heartwarming fantasy journey and don&rsquo;t fancy hobbits or wizards then maybe Pablo Maestres&rsquo; disco-ball adventure is more what you&rsquo;re looking for. It&rsquo;s considerably less sinister than his now notorious and award winning video for <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2012/11/13/be-brave-benjamin-devil-fool-by-pablo-maestres/">Be Brave Benjamin</a>, but continues a similar stylish 70&prime;s look.
Our spherical protagonist escapes the scrapyard and comes across an array of characters and some (pretty special) locations before finding a home. Shot in Pablo&rsquo;s home of Spain he says, &ldquo;it was an intense shoot, sixteen locations in 3 days only, many displacements and many people in casting. The movement movement of the ball was a challenge (which seems simple a priori, it is not so in the case of a round object with crystals).&rdquo;
