Iacopo Carapelli directs an arresting promo for&nbsp;Italian composer and musician Caterina Barbieri.Created in collaboration with artist Ruben Spini, Broken Melody is visually portrayed through&nbsp;slow-motion footage of different bodies levitating, intertwining and restlessly lying on the ground, in vignettes beautifully captured by DoP&nbsp;Giuseppe Favale.The video boasts fascinating locations, which are equally intimate and monumental, and lend a certain surreality to the concept.&nbsp;Broken Melody stands as a reflection of our times, in which the beautiful and the dreadful effortlessly coexist.

Henry Scholfield directs a hypnotic, VFX-heavy extravaganza for Ed Sheeran featuring Lil Baby.&nbsp;The video for 2step shows Sheeran walking down an empty street in Kyiv, as the surrounding characters and environment&nbsp;start to vanish into thin air. This eventually builds&nbsp;to a sensational dance set-piece, and a mind-bending trip through warped cityscapes and slick choreography - which Sheeran enthusiastically dives into himself&nbsp;too, together with co-star Lil Baby.&nbsp;The project&nbsp;opens with a title card with a message from Ed Sheeran explaining that the video was shot in Kyiv before the Russian invasion&nbsp;of Ukraine two months ago, and that profits from the video streaming are going directly to DEC's Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.&nbsp;

Arlo Parks's first new song since the release of her hugely successful debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams comes with a luminous visual by directing duo Zhang + Knight - their first&nbsp;music video since <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/01/14/london-grammar-lose-your-head-zhang-knight/68950" target="_blank">London Grammar's Lose Your Head</a> a year ago.For Softly -&nbsp;a song about "how fragile you feel in the dying days of a relationship when you’re still desperately in love" according to Parks -&nbsp;the directing team create a version of&nbsp;the real world which slowly unravels, layer by layer.What initially looks like an idealised, picture perfect&nbsp;location is gradually decontructed. The early sense of the singer being in a mid-century studio movie or musical is gradually undercut, as the staging is revealed and comes apart at the seams, leaving the constituent elements floating in surreal space.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]The marvel is that like their previous successful works for Eden and aforementioned London Grammar, everything is created in-camera - in this case at a film studio in Kiev."For us 'Softly' explored the idea of wanting something that was once perfect to end in a gentle way, and we wanted to express this using the world surrounding Arlo," explain Zhang and Knight. "We were instinctively drawn to the warm toned, hazy nostalgia of the 1960's, as we loved the idea of something universally romantic being slowly stripped away throughout the film."We based the colours of the bricks, trims and doors on mid-century painting in order to bake this romanticism into everything. The production itself was a huge challenge, as everything was captured in-camera with each piece of the set built on wheels operated by several production crew. However, we knew it was all worth it when we saw the skyscrapers dancing around Arlo for the first time."

The hustle and bustle of tourist London takes a unusual turn in Lucy Luscombe's video for Attawalpa's Take A Bite.&nbsp;Attawalpa plays a disgruntled street performer in Leicester Square who makes a pact with the Devil.&nbsp;Teenage goths, punk legends, Angel boys and Afrobeat dance crews lead the way as Attawalpa’s dreams manifest on the screens of Piccadilly Circus.&nbsp;Lo-fi and documentary in its aesthetic, the mix of digital and analogue cinematography gives it a raw and eccentric vibe, capturing the flurry of street performers and characters in all of their gritty glory.&nbsp;

Joe Connor celebrates the rituals of getting ready for a big night out, in his hallucinatory&nbsp;video for Georgia's 24 Hours.&nbsp;Stuctured in split-screen throughout, we see various vignettes of people&nbsp;preparing themselves for the evening ahead&nbsp;- drinking and dancing whilst they count down the clock in anticipation. Intermittent shots of a car racing around the Berlin streets creates an electric sense of urgency, a clever juxtaposition to the more relaxed vibe inside the characters' homes. And DoP&nbsp;Giuseppe Favale also experiments with different frame rates, stretching and manipulating time to represent the partygoers' foggy and dazed state of mind.A powerful performance from Georgia on a drum machine, bathed in red light, neatly rounds off the concept, acting as an anchor to the frenetic variety of characters within the concept.&nbsp;
