"Vertex is one of the Marvell Crew with Double S and Shokka. He directed their previous video and asked if I would be up for getting involved in the new one as they wanted something photographed guerrilla-style around north London.
"We spent a chaotic day racing around shooting on a 60 year old vintage Bell &amp; Howell Filmo 16mm camera which is brilliant for guerrilla-style shooting because, as well as being an indestructible piece of precision engineering, it is also a gorgeous antique so civilians actually like looking at it instead of complaining about obstruction or whatever minor quibble becomes the focus of their existence for an afternoon whenever they see a camera crew on the streets. We had a fun day, shot some nice stuff and cut it together."

Long time friends Vertex and Chipmunk developed the idea together. From Vertex: "Chipmunk was keen to have a video with fire and wanted to keep it as real as possible, so we took him to stage A at Shepperton and filmed him in a real ring of fire. We managed to convince Red Madrell one of the stars from Adulthood to appear in the video as Chipmunk's love interest". Vertex &amp; Co are celebrating as their video for Chipmunk's 'Diamond Rings' has been nominated for best video at the MOBOs.

Faux Tales' first foray into the pop video world results in a dark, sexy, filmic fantasy for Mr Andre - his first release since his whirlwind life with Katie Price came to a sticky end. They had this to say about the shoot: "This is very much inspired by the fashion photography we thrive on. We're both MTV generation babies so this was a perfect video to play on Andre's sex symbol status by referencing all those slick and glossy Duran Duran videos we grew up on in the look of our video - especially the work of Russell Mulcahy".

The follow-up to Wave Machines' former Bebo Single Of The Week I Go I Go I Go, is this Blake Claridge-directed moody, desolate, late night epic for Punk Spirit. Perfectly capturing the sombre wide-screen mood of the song, it's released to tie in with the band's festival appearances at Green Man, Leeds and Bestival. Wave Machines undertake a UK tour in October.
