Andrew Donoho brilliantly blends CG and live action in his promo&nbsp;for George Ezra's Anyone For You, using Extended Reality (or XR)&nbsp;technology to drive the concept, and frame another winning Ezra performance."To parallel the idea of George being 'anyone for you', I captured him in five natural environments with a distinct atmosphere to match his ever-changing appearance," explains Donoho, who also acted as VFX artist for the video.&nbsp;"We filmed the video in an XR stage [in Los Angeles] using entirely CG backgrounds, rendered live on a 80 foot screen, to playfully give his backgrounds their own digital identity crisis.[imgtoken data:1]"As his artificial worlds break down like a person changing themselves for love, we introduce one of my favourite techniques of all time: a live, digital feedback loop of George projected behind George ad infinitum over the walls and floor."Ezra brings his customary playful energy to the project, and is mesmerising to watch throughout - especially when that feedback loop of his performance takes over the screen, perpetually repeating over and over like an infinity mirror.&nbsp;The combination of artificial and real elements feels fresh and seamless, and Ezra's bubbly presence heightens the carefree mood.&nbsp;

Haley Elizabeth Anderson directs a stunning promo for&nbsp;Jennifer Hudson's Here I Am (Singing My Way Home), an original track from the artist's upcoming lead role in Aretha Franklin biopic Respect.&nbsp;Visualising Aretha Franklin's own journey from singing in her Father's church choir to becoming an international superstar, the video interweaves black and white narrative vignettes with clips from the film, stopping by&nbsp;some of the iconic locations along the way.&nbsp;The video is quite fittingly focused on performance, and Hudson is mesmerising to watch, both in the most explosive and unrestrained moments in the track, and the more subtle, gentle breaks.&nbsp;The classic, documentary-style cinematography lends a timeless feel to the visuals, which match the undoubtedly enduring qualities of the original song.

Bryson Tiller tries to turn back the clock in Rohan Blair-Mangat's&nbsp;emotive video for Right My Wrongs.&nbsp;The video was made to coincide with the re-release of&nbsp;Tiller's debut album, and depicts the artist enjoying success and apparent harmony with his partner - played by Jordan Coleman - but there is something else going on here.&nbsp;Intermixing documentary-style footage and stills&nbsp;with polished narrative setups, the blurred boundaries between real life and fantasy bleed into the overall aesthetic, resulting in a piece that slowly reveals its purpose.&nbsp;&nbsp;The&nbsp;use of subtitles to represent the characters' innermost thoughts&nbsp;- as opposed to their spoken words - creates an extra layer of depth to the story, that ultimately reveals itself as a&nbsp;story about the&nbsp;reality, and the downside, of&nbsp;escalating success - the hidden woes of fame.&nbsp;

Her dance video for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRh_vgS2dFE" target="_blank">Justin Bieber's Sorry</a> is one of the most viewed music videos of all time, and now director/choreographer Parris Goebel is back with JB, creating another all-dancing alternate video for the comeback single Yummy, featuring her Royal Family dancers and 'Sorry' girls. It's like Sorry - only bigger, slicker, more spectacular.This showstopper features an awesome troupe of 52 female dancers and the power of the video rests in the fact that you are always aware fo the sheer size and uniform excellence of this huge group. It's so impressive that this video was preceded by the release of <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtVjmcujrIg" target="_blank">footage of the rehearsal</a>, earlier this month.Shot entirely on 35mm by DoP Kaname Onoyama,&nbsp;the camera glides around, above,&nbsp;or in the midst of the girls, but it always seems to be keeping the all or most of the 52 within the frame.It is testament to the celebrated skill of Goebel as a director and choreographer that the group radiates personality as well as sheer precision. And her camera loves each and every one of them.
