Alasdair McLellan paints a portrait of youth and sexuality in the town of Marfa, Texas for The xx.Classic iconography of the American High School experience complete with cheerleaders and football players gives this video a nostalgic feel, with vibrant colours enhancing the more tender moments as the couples depicted in the video explore the freedom of youth.The band, who recorded part of their album in Marfa, are on hand as revellers in the parties the kids throw. Exploring similar nostalgic ground to Spike Jonze&#39;s Scenes From The Suburbs&nbsp;film with Arcade Fire a few years ago, but with more emphasis on intimacy.

It was only a matter of time before Bjork, so adventurous, avant garde, and supportive&nbsp;of innovative music video directors,&nbsp;should collaborate with Jesse Kanda, a director whose work for&nbsp;the likes of Arca and FKA Twigs has set him in a class of his own. Now it has happened, and it is extraordinary.This&nbsp;highly original performance piece for Mouth Mantra takes place partly in a 360 construction of the interior of Bjork&#39;s mouth - an animatronic recreation, made at the John Nolan Studio. It&#39;s strange, beautiful and brutal - and pure Kanda. Not the easiest watch, frankly, but remarkable nonetheless. &nbsp;

Barcelonian&nbsp;Tumblr artist and regular SHOWstudio contributor&nbsp;Rei Nadal (renowned in fashion circles for her &#39;Death And Milk&#39; Tumblr)&nbsp;makes a bold step towards proper directing with her video for Vaults&#39; Vultures, and series of memorable images, connected only by their theme of female struggle.&nbsp;Physical pain and discomfort is encapsulated with unusual footage of stick insects walking across mascara&#39;d eyes, a woman&#39;s bleeding nipple, and&nbsp;a choreographed piece of dancing &#39;witches&#39; that&nbsp;ties disparate images together.&nbsp;Rei was inspired by the &#39;dark lullaby&rsquo;&nbsp;aspects of the song by a band likely to get much better known in 2015.She told SHOWStudio (the video was premiered on the&nbsp;website): &quot;It made me think of a group of woman chanting to each other and to themselves, not to sleep but to comfort each other, telling their story and what it hurts them but also sharing their love and joy. I think these two sentiments were equally important to be represented in the video. As a woman there are so many difficulties in the world; the fear of violence every day, dehumanisation because of my sex, censorship... But in the end I just want to remind myself how lucky I am to be a woman.&quot;&nbsp;
