Hora Bolz directs an impressive music film for El Perro, consisting of visuals for the tracks&nbsp;Call Me When You're Home and Let Me Think That Again.Filmed in southern Spain, the concept is a surrealist twist to the classic Sword Of Damocles story: a couple of outlaws&nbsp;whose life is controlled by destiny and anxiety&nbsp;have to make a decision, to help&nbsp;them understand the true definition of their relationship."The idea for this came hand-in-hand with the location," explains Bolz.&nbsp;"It was really important for me to create a world that felt realistic enough so the surreal elements in it felt authentic. Like when you wake up from a dream, and you need to take a moment to understand what’s going on."For me, the best part when watching a movie - or any art piece -&nbsp;is the interpretation. That’s why I wanted this music video to be like a riddle. It had to be fun for you to decipher, and for me to see what you’ve found."DoP&nbsp;Benjamin Cotgrove adds that the video was shot in extremely testing conditions. "We ended up shooting at the height of summer during 40 degree celsius heat - at times the sun was pretty unbearable," he says. "I knew shooting on 16mm the stock wouldn’t miss a beat and even with our schedule forcing us to shoot when the sun was high noon, film helped to balance the crude, raw sun on the face of our cast."We had an incredible local crew who were not unfamiliar with these conditions and knew exactly how to support us through this: keep a cooler bag ready for the film."

Giles Edward-N directs a fantastical period piece for Corella, recreating&nbsp;famous work from photographers&nbsp;Enzo Sellerio, Michael Ochs and Diane&nbsp;Arbus in the video for Flood.Highlighting the fashion and punk aesthetic from the 1940s through to the '70s, each&nbsp;vignette crescendos into life as the flood of the chorus unfolds.DoP&nbsp;Jed Darlington-Roberts cleverly recreates photographic lighting setups and composition to lean into this concept, and the use of an ornate frame to envelope the subject across the vignettes adds an extra textural dimension.&nbsp;

Troy Roscoe teams up with KSI for another ambitious collaboration, with the video for Summer Is Over.&nbsp;The slick visual sees KSI at an end-of-summer barbecue, moving around the scene and performing as the other guests celebrate in slow motion.&nbsp;VFX-heavy yet completely seamless - even with scattered showers, grey skies and&nbsp;various liquids and textures to contend with&nbsp;- it's a brilliant concept executed to perfection.&nbsp;"Hands down one of the hardest shoots I’ve had to date," Roscoe says. "Anyone that is either edit or visual effects savvy will be able to appreciate the complexity of the concept."On paper it's simple: KSI walking through scenes performing whilst everybody is in slow motion. But actually executing that with typical British weather as a factor, proved far from simple. But we pulled it off!&nbsp;"We shot the video on Monday and was complete by the Friday! I’m so proud of my team and the hard work that went into it and as always KSI is a pleasure to work with."

French-Cuban sister duo Ibeyi scale the desert with Jorja Smith, in&nbsp;Lucrecia Taormina's captivating promo for Lavender and Red Roses.&nbsp;We see the artists trek through the midst of a sandy landscape, following the line of a rope to a well in the middle of the desert. They pour a jug full of lavender and red rose petals into the well - where, at the bottom a&nbsp;mysterious masked man digs further downwards.&nbsp;Arguably this&nbsp;abstract narrative explores themes of femininity and divine energy, suggesting it is time to 'cut the cord', and stop relying on women to pull up men who are not actively helping themselves or looking for ways to improve their own situation. But&nbsp;the&nbsp;beauty of the visual, the magic of Taormina' concept,&nbsp;lies in the various ways in which to read the unfolding action.[imgtoken data:1]Taormina weaves this ambiguous and metaphorical&nbsp;tale in her characteristic&nbsp;hyperreal style - not in a real desert, we suspect, but a very convincing studio and VFX-created approximation of one. Artemas heads to Southend-on-Sea in Racer's dreamy visual for Favourite.&nbsp;In the directing team's latest for the writer-producer,&nbsp;following the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/11/23/artemas-real-life-racer/73943" target="_blank">Real Life</a>&nbsp;video a few months ago, we see two characters - played by Zoe Newton Kisly (who also produced the video) and&nbsp;Anthony Idahosa - enjoy all the fun of Southend's Adventure Island, winning a bounty of tickets at the arcades, climbing trees and falling in love at the karaoke bar. And all this happens while they are wearing T-Rex masks.&nbsp;The eccentric concept lends a gently humourous vibe to the video, whilst the nostalgic cinematography harks back to home videos of family holidays spent next to the sea.&nbsp;Nothing like a good T-Rex love story to get over the midweek hump...&nbsp;
