Lava La Rue heads out for a trippy night out in London&nbsp;with her friends, in Paul Herrmann's absorbing video for the blissful High Fidelity.The Berlin-based director creates a colourful, soulful mood, populated by a riveting cast of supporting characters, that is both super-cool and super-lovely. And that is very much in keeping with the style and&nbsp;vibe of Lava and her associate artists in the Nine8 Collective in the past few years.There's even a sweet cameo&nbsp;by fellow Nine8 creative Biig Piig, sultrily appearing on TV screens during the course of this memorable, mesmerizing evening.&nbsp;

Following the breathtaking video&nbsp;for <a href="http://Florence + The Machine 'King' by Autumn de Wilde">King</a>, Autumn de Wilde continues her collaboration with Florence + The Machine in&nbsp;this untamed promo for Heaven Is Here.&nbsp;Taking things back to where they started in the previous video, Florence appears with the same group of dancers,&nbsp;this time appearing as one of them,&nbsp;losing the purple shroud and the supernatural aura of her previous incarnation.&nbsp;The performance is feral, impulsive and assertive, and the overall atmosphere&nbsp;feels incredibly raw and authentic. This is certainly the&nbsp;spiritual successor to King, which feels otherworldly and transcendent whilst building upon the abstract narrative and themes of the music.&nbsp;As mentioned in our review of the King,&nbsp;many of the people involved in making the&nbsp;video, from the Ukranian production company Radioaktive and other freelance film crew, are&nbsp;now fighting for the survival of their country, and their lives. Our prayers are with them and their fellow citizens.

Florence + The Machine returns and reunites with Autumn de Wilde, with the epic video for King - steeped in religious imagery and most poignantly filmed in Kyiv weeks before Ukraine was plunged into war.Florence Welch appears to a troubled young man (played by Jack Riddiford) as a floating vision in a purple shroud, in the manner of the Virgin Mary. From this gripping beginning,&nbsp;de Wilde allows an extraordinary set-piece to play out, with the help of choreographer Ryan Heffington and a visual effects department led by Denis Reva.Florence is joined by her female followers within the grounds of a half-built building, and she and her disciplines eventually, breathtakingly, take to the air, reflecting the characteristically Florence-like nature of the song, striving for a higher,&nbsp;transcendent level.[imgtoken data:1]It's the second time Autumn de Wilde has worked with Florence + The Machine, following the UKMVA-winning video for <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2018/06/22/florence-machine-big-god-autumn-de-wilde/53767" target="_blank">Big God</a>. This shares the exquisitely composed quality of that video, on a more ambitious scale, and also that strong sense of female solidarity&nbsp;between Florence and a group of dancers who become personalities in themselves once they arrive on screen.&nbsp;A powerful video. Arlo Parks's first new song since the release of her hugely successful debut album Collapsed In Sunbeams comes with a luminous visual by directing duo Zhang + Knight - their first&nbsp;music video since <a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2021/01/14/london-grammar-lose-your-head-zhang-knight/68950" target="_blank">London Grammar's Lose Your Head</a> a year ago.For Softly -&nbsp;a song about "how fragile you feel in the dying days of a relationship when you’re still desperately in love" according to Parks -&nbsp;the directing team create a version of&nbsp;the real world which slowly unravels, layer by layer.What initially looks like an idealised, picture perfect&nbsp;location is gradually decontructed. The early sense of the singer being in a mid-century studio movie or musical is gradually undercut, as the staging is revealed and comes apart at the seams, leaving the constituent elements floating in surreal space.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]The marvel is that like their previous successful works for Eden and aforementioned London Grammar, everything is created in-camera - in this case at a film studio in Kiev."For us 'Softly' explored the idea of wanting something that was once perfect to end in a gentle way, and we wanted to express this using the world surrounding Arlo," explain Zhang and Knight. "We were instinctively drawn to the warm toned, hazy nostalgia of the 1960's, as we loved the idea of something universally romantic being slowly stripped away throughout the film."We based the colours of the bricks, trims and doors on mid-century painting in order to bake this romanticism into everything. The production itself was a huge challenge, as everything was captured in-camera with each piece of the set built on wheels operated by several production crew. However, we knew it was all worth it when we saw the skyscrapers dancing around Arlo for the first time."

Muse are back with their first release in four years - and immediately at full throttle -&nbsp;with Jared Hogan's sci-fi epic for Won't Stand Down.&nbsp;The video sees an ancient woman masked with vocalist Matt Bellamy's face, drawing power from a faceless army and transcending into an augmented being.[imgtoken data:1]&nbsp;From the futuristic art direction through to the&nbsp;seamless VFX and dynamic cinematography, the video is a tour de force&nbsp;of creativity which builds to a rip-roaring, intense climax. And the&nbsp;haunting silicone mask the lead character wears jumps right into the uncanny valley, and makes for an uncomfortable viewing experience in the best way.&nbsp;Like every Muse video, there is an important message bubbling under the surface, this time focused on standing up against bullies and oppressors. Filmed in Ukraine - producers MrMr teamed up with Shelter in Kiev for the production of the video - the concept perfectly encapsulates these themes.
