Jim Canty&#39;s latest video for Catfish And the Bottlemen picks up where his last one, for&nbsp;<a href="https://www.promonews.tv/videos/2019/01/11/catfish-and-bottlemen-longshot-jim-canty/56765" target="_blank">Longshot</a>&nbsp;left off.&nbsp;In the 2all video the band are once again on the rugged British coast, driving in a&nbsp;vintage&nbsp;1956 Land Rover&nbsp;along weather-beaten South Shields beaches and cliff tops. This time they head for the seaside town&#39;s landmark Amphitheatre arcades, beautifully captured from above. And once again they&#39;re ready to play.

Three Scots walk into a bar...Scottish Indie-rock heroes&nbsp;Biffy Clyro get a little bit Kubrickian in the video for Howl. Marc Klasfeld oversees this hyper-surreal clip in which the band appear to have stumbled into some other-world burlesque bar (complete with a David Lynch-esque mirror of themselves playing onstage).The video is rife with references to The Shining, but with a dark and sexy twist. We look on in horror and amusement as Biffy take part in some maddening metamorphosis and become characters in the world they&#39;ve stumbled into.

Following the video for Panic Cord, Kinga Burza continues her collaboration with Gabrielle Aplin on Home by really taking the singer-songwriter to new territory.&nbsp;From those first videos on YouTube that got her noticed, everything featuring Gabrielle up to now has stressed her Englishness. In a way this does the same, but the setting is very different - the Nevada desert.And Kinga has used her own recent experiences to evoke that far from home feeling - which also required Gabrielle to engage in some roleplaying.

James Lees takes young French artist Elisa Jo into the depths of wintry England for her first music video, for the song Defeated, and thanks to the help of a few friends was able to achieve a true sense of gritty British cinema due to shooting on 35mm with some of the last film stock being produced by Fuji&hellip;James Lees on making the video for Elisa Jo&rsquo;s Undefeated&ldquo;For her first music promo proper, Elisa Jo and her label wanted a performance video with a distinctive British feel. After listening to the track I felt the video should echo the melancholy and desolation of the lyrics and most of all, the honesty. No tricks, no twists, just Elisa and the emotion of her song.&ldquo;Regarding choosing the locations I&rsquo;ve always felt the flat unending landscapes and classic British suburban estates of near where I grew up in the Midlands are very cinematic and a perfect reflection of real Britain. So we went and shot the whole thing in and around Peterborough. The landscapes and portraits we were looking to capture just lent themselves to film so perfectly it made me really push to shoot on 35mm. Luckily this became a reality with the generosity of Fuji and the incredible support of Chris Youlton at Arri.&ldquo;Working with Ula Pontikos to capture everything in it&rsquo;s raw, untouched simplicity was a total joy. After two years of not shooting on film I&rsquo;m desperate to keep using it again just as it seems to be dying &ndash; Fuji have ceased production of film stock and Technicolour is due to close it&rsquo;s lab next month. Hopefully the continuation of Kodak and the i-dailies lab will mean we still have the opportunity to make this aesthetic choice for some time to come!&rdquo;

Since spending the last two years shooting mainly commercials in New York, Los Angeles and Paris, Kinga Burza marks her return to the UK with this promo to Gabrielle Aplin's Panic Cord. Oscillating between a performance piece and flashbacks to a past bittersweet relationship, Kinga's promo echoes the poignancy of the lyric.
"Working with Gabrielle was so lovely - she really couldn't have been more easy going and open to try new things," explains Kinga. "When we sat down before the shoot and suggested some possible scenarios for the flashback vignettes that feature the ups and downs of a previous relationship, she looked me in the eye and confirmed: 'oh yeah, I totally know all these scenarios!'
"So from then on, there really seemed to be this really great, effortless work ethic between us, and also with Sid Ellisdon who played her ex-boyfriend. We were all on the same page and this was a blessing as we had so many vignettes to shoot, costume changes and location moves to shoot in a day. It was so nice to be back in London shooting, and looking forward to being back again soon."

With lead singer James Dean Bradfield in his home town of Cardiff and Echo &amp; The Bunnymen vocalist Ian McCulloch in his native Liverpool, Hart empathises and emphasises the lyric with this dual deserted streets splitscreen scenario. And it's all wonderfully British.

Not so long ago it seemed that videos like this weren't getting made any more. But now Will Lovelace and Dylan Southern (aka thirtytwo) have directed this compelling, searing tale of rank hypocrisy for Plan B's remixer buddies Chase and Status. 
Playing like Smack My Bitch Up with added context and (and conscience) it's utterly convincing: the televisual dealer in dirt and exploiter of weakness and misery who's more corrupt and depraved than anyone on his daily circus of revelation, humiliation and rabble-rousing. 
A very incisive portrayal - played with scene-chewing relish by stage actor Glenn Carter, as 'Patrick Chase' - with impressively old-school production values, and superbly directed by Will and Dylan. 
But they couldn't possibly be referring to any real person, could they
