Niall Trask directs a suitably bizarre promo for Gaz Coombes' Long Live The Strange.&nbsp;Living in a world inhabited solely by mannequins, we see Coombes go about his day-to-day routine, seemingly unphased by the plastic&nbsp;inhabitants.&nbsp;Diving directly into uncanny valley territory, many of the mannequins have their own style and hobbies - including yoga, football, and being down the pub - and Coombes' dynamic performance contrasts perfectly with the lack of movement and energy elsewhere on screen.&nbsp;

Jordan Rossi directs an empassioned promo for South African singer-songwriter, actor and novelist Nakhane, featuring Perfume Genius, with a work that takes its cue from some pillars of Queer cinema and art.&nbsp;The video for Do You Well begins&nbsp;with Nakhane and their love interest glistening under sparkling lights in a studio space, and then&nbsp;battling to create a common ground, before finally connecting with each other.&nbsp;Gorgeous and thrilling, the video visualises a complex set of emotions in a stylish and thought-provoking manner, and the end result is wonderfully alluring.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]"Nakhane already had a concept for this video," Rossi reveals.&nbsp;"It was very much centred around a wrestling encounter between two people in a homoerotic fashion. They wanted to express the idea of a duel and the ridiculous nature of aggressive masculinity."Nakhane and I drew inspiration from lots of Queer art and cinema such as Pink Narcissus by James Bidgood, Querelle by Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Moonlight by Barry Jenkins and Sebastien by Derek Jarman. We also looked at features like Fight Club and Shame - both dealing with masculinity, sex and relationships in a unique manner.[imgtoken data:2]"Visually, I wanted a really deep and textured image with lots of energy. Tony Scott's turbulent yet cinematically rich style of compressed imagery was a huge source of inspiration here.&nbsp;"It's not every day you get to make projects such as this so a huge shout out goes to Faye who commissioned it, the record label for giving us complete creative freedom and Nakhane for being such a trusting collaborator."

Gregg Houston directs a punchy performance&nbsp;promo for Wunderhorse.&nbsp;Shot in an empty office building, the video focuses solely on performance, without frills or superfluous additions - and that's what makes it so spectacular.&nbsp;Imbuing the visual with a sense of high-energy vigour, the band are completely absorbing from every angle, and the gritty textures of the 16mm film lends a rawness and intimacy to the concept.&nbsp;"These guys are earning a reputation for intense live shows and so for this music video we kept things very simple and let them do their thing," Houston says.&nbsp;"We found a pleasing location and got as much 16mm film as we could afford. What else do you need! With roughly one take per angle, the gentlemen gave it their all from the first moment. This is the director's cut so we were allowed to indulge ourselves with some 6fps footage and other flashes that took our interest."
