An appropriately&nbsp;visceral and claustrophobic music video for 20 year old Virginia-born rapper Caleb Steph&#39;s Trapped, directed by Andrew Donoho.Captured on beautiful black and white 16mm, Donoho has created a kinetic experience in the style of a low budget horror. Firstly,&nbsp;Caleb&nbsp;stretched out on a table in an oxygen mask, with a shocking fate in store; then he&nbsp;staggers around an empty house, releasing smoke&nbsp;as if he&#39;s about to spontaneously combust.Quite different from Donoho&#39;s usual high-end, VFX-enhanced work, but brutally effective.&nbsp;

Henrik Hanson combines a Flashdance-esque concept with a touch of Frankenstein to create a very stylish and steamy fantasy for Alesso&#39;s Falling.The sight of the solitary girl making some powerfully sexy moves in his loft space inspires an intense-looking Alesso into action. The mystery of why this involves him crunching numbers on his laptop is resolved when his latest creation is revealed - a male partner for the girl&nbsp;who, it turns out, is a very human-looking robot.&ldquo;I wanted to make video about something impossible, like two AI robots falling in love,&quot; says Hanson.&nbsp;&quot;Alesso discovers that something is amiss, and creates a partner, the AI couple fall in love through their dance. I wanted the dance to feel passionate and sensual, and to send a message to the viewer that we should take care of each other. He takes care of her, and she takes care of him after a long and hot dance.&rdquo;

Sam Smith&#39;s theme for the latest James Bond film&nbsp;Spectre&nbsp;has been released with this ultra-slick&nbsp;video by&nbsp;Luke Monaghan,&nbsp;featuring exclusive clips from the film as well as cinematic shots of the singer performing on&nbsp;some of the&nbsp;film&#39;s most stunning locations in Rome.Editor Paul O&rsquo;Reilly was forced to relocate&nbsp;to Pinewood Studios&nbsp;in order to edit the video, due to the security surrounding&nbsp;the movie, released later this month.&nbsp;O&#39;Reilly was required to&nbsp;complete all his work at the&nbsp;studios,&nbsp;and the film footage had to stay on site for the duration.&nbsp;&ldquo;Obviously there was incredibly tight security on the footage we were given,&rdquo; says Paul&nbsp;O&rsquo;Reilly, based at Stitch Editing and Homespun.&nbsp;&ldquo;Initially we were only provided with the footage from the official trailer to make the first&nbsp;cut. However we were given the unexpected but wonderful privilege of meeting Sam Mendez and&nbsp;Barbara Brocolli. We were all understandably nervous for them to view our work but they were&nbsp;lovely - really positive about our ideas - and after a pitch with them and their production team they&nbsp;granted us an additional forty&nbsp;minutes of footage&nbsp;to help support the narrative of the music video.&rdquo;The footage provided had a limited amount of frames per shot, so&nbsp;had to be carefully curated to slot into the music video, without revealing too much of the film&rsquo;s plot.&ldquo;The extra footage gave us an opportunity to intertwine moments that really spoke to the narrative&nbsp;of the song and Luke&rsquo;s footage. It&rsquo;s been an amazing project to work on. An unforgettable&nbsp;experience, with some rather&nbsp;unforgettable rushes!&rdquo;

Paul Kalkbrenner has recently released this third and&nbsp;final instalment of the FLORIAN trilogy, for his track Feed Your&nbsp;Head.&nbsp;Written by creatives Alexander Nowak and Felix Richter of Droga5 New&nbsp;York and&nbsp;directed by Björn Rühmann, the video marks the completion of the story that began with&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/05/22/paul-kalkbrenner-cloud-rider-bj%C3%B6rn-r%C3%BChmann" target="_blank">Cloud Rider</a>,&nbsp;and continued with&nbsp;<a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/07/20/paul-kalkbrenner-mothertrucker-bj%C3%B6rn-r%C3%BChmann" target="_blank">Mothertrucker</a>.&nbsp;As the story goes,&nbsp;Florian,&nbsp;a friendly young foreigner in America,&nbsp;compulsively shares the music he loves with strangers but is&nbsp;continually&nbsp;met&nbsp;with aggressive and even violent rejection.&nbsp;This third instalment offers up &nbsp;a bittersweet compromise between hope and dejection.&nbsp;Florian&#39;s&nbsp;spirits are up again as he&nbsp;gives a&nbsp;triumphant&nbsp;performance at a talent show, in which his tormentors from the previous videos join him one by one&nbsp;in dancing and celebrating his beloved techno. Mothertrucker&nbsp;is the second instalment of the &#39;Florian&#39; video trilogy, spanning three tracks by German electronic music producer&nbsp;Paul Kalkbrenner.&nbsp;Written by creatives Alexander Nowak and Felix Richter of Droga5 New&nbsp;York and&nbsp;directed by Björn Rühmann,&nbsp;the material was shot over four days in Los Angeles.The first instalment, <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/videos/2015/05/22/paul-kalkbrenner-cloud-rider-bj%C3%B6rn-r%C3%BChmann" target="_blank">Cloud Rider</a>, introduced the painfully&nbsp;naïve yet lovable&nbsp;Florian,&nbsp;a young foreigner who&nbsp;compulsively shares the music he loves with strangers he meets on the street, only to be aggressively&nbsp;rejected.The second instalment continues directly after the first. Now Florian is bruised, blooded, battered and, not surprisingly, very upset at been beaten and robbed of his music player and headphones.&nbsp;He&#39;s also angry, and through his rage he begins to find some inner strength.Which, in this parable about the outsider role of the&nbsp;electronic dance music genre in the US, leaves us nicely set up for the third and final instalment: Feed Your Head.&nbsp;

Cloud Rider, the first video for Paul Kalkbrenner&#39;s forthcoming seventh album, suitably entitled 7, is the opening salvo&nbsp;of a music video trilogy directed by Björn Rühmann&nbsp;called FLORIAN, which focusses on the increasingly painful adventures of a true innocent abroad.Florian, with ill-advised open-heartedness,&nbsp;attempts to share the music he loves with strangers via his headphones, only to receive continual rejection, and increasingly, aggression.&nbsp;It is meant to parallel the peculiar outsider role of the electronic dance music genre in the US. Despite its origins in Chicago and Detroit, the electronic style to this day hasn&rsquo;t arrived in mainstream America and is paradoxically considered &lsquo;foreign.&rsquo;The trilogy was written by Alexander Nowak and Felix Richter,&nbsp;two creative directors at ad agency Droga5. It&#39;s the first time the agency has been involved in making a music video, and at the moment there is no visible involvement of another brand.And If this is being produced under a more advertising type of model, its a fascinating first step - both funny and harrowing - and shows that Björn Rühmann is a talent to be reckoned with.&nbsp;&nbsp;
