Cheerleaders cheer, a few friends play basketball, a kid rides his bike and a car does donuts before the police show up. It&#39;s a jovial summer evening vibe and it&#39;s all done in one seamless, free-flowing, breezy take. The camera wanders curiously around the open stretch of tarmac before craning up for a wide overview at the end.A perfect, carefree summertime video that brilliantly&nbsp;captures the feeling of a long summer night &ndash; and a&nbsp;real departure from Lappin&#39;s&nbsp;two previous London-set Mura Masa videos.&nbsp;

The powerful video for &nbsp;Joey Bada$$&#39;s Land Of The Free, directed by Nathan R. Smith and the rapper himself, tackles the state of play in America today head-on, in a succession of contrasting&nbsp;scenes, shot in some spectacular locations.It spans from Joey&nbsp;telling young black children that &quot;Donald Trump is not equipped to take this country over&quot;, wrapping himself in an adapted&nbsp;version of Old Glory,&nbsp;and disturbing scenes of white police and officials&nbsp; assembling in a firing squad to shoot a line of unarmed black people.The video winds down with Klansmen lighting a cross on fire, the bodies of those shot illuminated by the flames. But it ends on a more uplifting note, with the rapper and the children smiling and playing in a field. &nbsp;

Andrew Donoho does an excellent job with this tie-in with the upcoming Suicide Squad, cleverly integrating the movie into duo Twenty One Pilots&#39; own strange adventures in the slammer.And Heathens is insanely catchy, appropriately enough. If this is anything to go by, it actually&nbsp;may be a DC superhero movie that doesn&#39;t disappoint.&nbsp;

After the videos for Never Catch Me and Ready Err Not, the director known as Young Replicant&nbsp;addresses another track on the Flying Lotus album You&#39;re Dead! with a fresh approach to the record&#39;s&nbsp;overarching&nbsp;theme - death and the afterlife.&nbsp;As a man lies on his deathbed, reality and dreamtime blurs. But the dying man&#39;s hallucinatory journey is not about to offer him much consolation. Quite the opposite it seems.&nbsp;&quot;I would mention the Tibetan Book of the Dead, but who wants to hear about that?&quot; says Young Replicant. &quot;It&#39;s a story about a father navigating through the afterlife bardo, the intermediate zone, towards a new state.&quot;&nbsp;It&#39;s also a story that FlyLo aka&nbsp;Steven Ellison - who makes a rare&nbsp;appearance in one of his own videos, as part of a &#39;ghost chorus&#39; that trails the father - says &quot;encapsulates the meaning of the record...it&#39;s one of the most important moments on&nbsp;You&rsquo;re Dead!&nbsp;and holds ideas I&rsquo;m planning to explore in my future work.&rdquo; &nbsp;

The whole cast and crew had to stop and howl at the wolf to get it to howl, whilst the LAPD flew overhead.&quot;

NORTON uses his background in VFX to excellent use in his&nbsp;video for Danny Brown&#39;s 25 Bucks, featuring Megan James from Purity Ring,&nbsp;combining practical and CGI to create the impressive time slice shots throughout.&nbsp;Danny and Megan interact with these freeze-frame vignettes from his life - with everything from plates to money being tossed around&nbsp;- in a series of steadicam shots. The sort of thing that used to require motion control.NORTON explained to us how it&#39;s done...PN:&nbsp;How did you get&nbsp;the idea for your Danny Brown&nbsp;video?NORTON: When I was listening to the track, it felt almost like Danny was painting different scenes from his childhood. The imagery became so vivid in my mind that I thought of this sort of ghost-of-Christmas-past kind of trip.&nbsp;Initially it was just sort of a visit to a museum of Danny&rsquo;s memories in which Danny was the tour guide. But&nbsp;it became something more in the treatment I submitted, where Danny actually interacted with objects in different scenes. When Megan and Danny leave, the visit was over, the play button was pressed and this inevitable past would try to catch up.&bull; How did you achieve the FX in the video?It was a combination of practical effects on set, basically objects hung with wires that were removed in post, together with CG objects that were 3D tracked and composited into a scene. For instance, in the final money shot, we placed real bills on young Danny&rsquo;s hands and also a couple of bills rigged to the table so that Danny could pick up what looked like floating bills; then in post, VFX house Varnish added CG bills to the scene.&nbsp;When the camera turns to Megan, that gave the production design team a chance to run in and out and remove the real bills rigs and throw lots of normal bills on the table for the actors to interact with.In other scenes, the effect was simpler. Like in the mom smoking by the stairs, where we just added CG smoke that was tracked in and composited.
