Jim Wilmot finds an excellent way to tug at the heartstrings for Lewis Capaldi's tearjerker - filmed at Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport.&nbsp;This sees&nbsp;Capaldi setting up to do an acoustic solo performance of new hit Wish You The Best in the Arrivals section at&nbsp;the Terminal, watched by a surprised group of expectant friends and family who are waiting to be reunited with loved ones.&nbsp;Cue a rollercoaster of emotions that we have all experienced when seeing our families after an extended period of time, captured in a very affecting way.&nbsp;With both docu-style footage of the reunions and a more posed portrait for the camera, it's simple yet impactful&nbsp;concept, executed to perfection.&nbsp;And it is destined to bring a lump to the throat - just as the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZLxVvLyKTo" target="_blank">official video for Wish You The Best</a> does.&nbsp;

Stephen Agnew directs an exploration of the anxiety that comes with living a glamorous lifestyle, in his promo for Regard&nbsp;&amp; Kwabs.&nbsp;The conceptual visuals for Signals make use of drawn-out, hypnotic camera moves, which traverse the rooms like a disembodied consciousness.&nbsp;The maze-like location and use of vivid lighting leans into the haunting vibe of the track, feeling very much bittersweet in its presentation.&nbsp;

With the UK general election in a matter of days, Paul Casey and Richard Jobson - aka&nbsp;Blok - have created&nbsp;the music video for Plan B’s First Past the Post, to get the message across in a track that aims to explain a part of the voting system that&nbsp;few fully understand, and ram home the point that every vote counts - if you vote tactically.Ben Drew (aka Plan B) wrote and recorded the track in a matter of days just a few weeks ago, to talk about a voting system that he himself has only recently&nbsp;investigated&nbsp;(see below) and what he thinks this election is really about - Brexit, of course. Drew wants to mobilise young voters into participating in the general election on December 12th and having their voice heard.But that gave Casey and Jobson just a week to&nbsp;take the concept - and visualize the various discussion points in Drew's lyrics -&nbsp;through production, post and delivery. Remarkably, they have achieved their goal with a video that illustrates those points through a rapidfire mix of&nbsp;fake newscasts, dramatic sequences, political satire (where Drew plays a cynical politico of undetermined affiliation), info-graphics, and Plan B's own raw and hard-hitting performance.&nbsp;One of Drew's main themes - that's arguably been underreported in mainstream media - is that Brexit has made this election a conflict between&nbsp;generations, with Britain's older generation looking to the past, and thereby jeopardizing the younger generation's future.&nbsp;Blok make this a crucial part of the video, with symbolism of a domestic argument over dinner where a&nbsp;dining room table splits apart - Paul Casey says he has drawn that from personal experience - and Drew's preferred solution out of our national mess comes through loud and clear.&nbsp;It ends on perhaps the most incendiary image of all - an old lady holding a Your Vote Matters mug sticking two fingers at the camera. Expect to see that a few times between now and Thursday.Blok have a history of working directly with artists, with their recent films for Novelist No Weapons, as well as Meridian Dan's Vegan Chat. But they have achieved something really special here - a video with a short lifespan but with the potential to have a real, longterm impact.[imgtoken data:1]

PLAN B - FIRST PAST THE POST

Filmmaking duo BLOK have directed a hard-hitting short film for Novelist's No Weapons.&nbsp;The dramatic promo depicts the devastating impact gun and knife-crime can have on the people involved and the community around them.&nbsp;Following Kasey McKellar (Top Boy 2) as Dylan, we watch his life-shattering story unfold as he is exposed to a gun through a close friend, before ultimately being killed by his own weapon.&nbsp;The video was written, directed and shot by Paul Casey and Richard Jobson - aka BLOK - who took time away from making commercials to focus on this incredibly impactful and emotional film, as it carries such an important and relevant message.“When Novelist approached us to work on the promo for ‘No Weapons’, we saw a great opportunity to tell a powerful and important message at a time where it has never been more pertinent," comment Casey and Jobson.&nbsp;"Rather than a music promo, we wanted to make a short film with Novelist’s music as the soundtrack.”Jobson also served as DOP on the project, employing lighting to elevate the dark and moody feel of the visual. Furthermore, in addition to using their regular commercial crew on the six-day shoot, BLOK reached out to The Prince’s Trust to offer work placements to young people who have been personally affected by weapons violence, and who wanted to get into the film industry but didn’t know how. Such as Shanelle, a Prince's Trust volunteer, who says:“I have been around gun and knife crime and have been affected by it personally. The film has a very important message to spread, and has been expressed so artistically that hopefully it can act as a deterrent in some way.”&nbsp;The track and film are very personal to Novelist, as he knows the effects of weapons violence all too well… “I trusted BLOK to create a visual representation of No Weapons&nbsp;and to tell the common story of war on the streets of London and the reality that death is often as a result of bad decisions," he says. "I was shaken after they showed me the final edit…it’s a truly moving film with a very important and powerful message.”&nbsp;BLOK have recently signed to Dark Energy for commercial representation. Their EP, Liz Kessler comments, "We’re very excited to be working with this fresh, talented duo, who can move effortlessly between a hard hitting music video such as this and their commercial work, which shows their innovative flare for humour paired with striking, Wes Anderson inspired art direction.'

Ben Roe's video for rising singer-songwriter Hattie Whitehead, is the story of a young man tortured by grief - played by&nbsp;Fionn Whitehead, the singer's brother.Haunted by the loss of his best friend, the young man replays a day that they had spent together - and finally finds a way to come to terms with the tragedy.Roe ratchets up the tension by intercutting flashbacks of happier times with the present day sadness. It's a sensitively handled piece for a video that&nbsp;was inspired by the sad loss of the Whitehead siblings' mother.
