Daryl A&#39;s video for Cass Lowe&#39;s&nbsp;Birthmark drops us dizzyingly in the centre&nbsp;of a dysfunctional, and a times, grotesque family, in a grandiose and hyperreal surrounding. It&#39;s an impressive job, with&nbsp;stylish work from DoP Stephen Murphy, excellent VFX, and a fine ensemble&nbsp;cast.&quot;At its core, the video is about having someone there to steady you when everything in your life seems &#39;up in the air&#39;, to tell you that you are wrong, or right, when you really need someone,&quot; says Daryl.

This musical short film &ndash; a personal project and major labour of love from director Paris Zarcilla &ndash; is an epic fantasy, in which a neo-tribal hunter journeys to the Oracles to seek help to keep his desperately sick wife from the cold clutches of Death &ndash; before it&rsquo;s too late.It&rsquo;s so impressive it was recently shortlisted for &lsquo;Best Music Video&rsquo; and &lsquo;Best Short Film&rsquo; at London Independent Film Festival.&ldquo;Not quite sure how to describe this but if I had to its a long form music video that reads like a short film. It&rsquo;s been an epic journey with this project but well worth the sweat, blood and tears! Was aching to make something I could be proud of. The film was entirely self funded and made purely for the love of the song (artist Slow Magic) and a great story. The entire production was all in house by my company Sudden Black. It was a three day shoot, shot partly in my back garden, Wendover Woods (one hour drive from London) and Action Underwater Studios.&rdquo;
