Mae Stephens is searching for a way out in Elliot Simpson's dazzling promo for If We Ever Broke Up.&nbsp;It's the viral alt-pop hit you've been hearing everywhere from TikTok to H&amp;M's dressing rooms, and it finally comes complete with a brilliant visual from Simpson and team.&nbsp;In the video, we see Mae devise fresh ways to escape from her overwhelming boyfriend - from poisoning his tea to letting him float away tied to a set of balloons - and from that spark of an idea, a hilarious, eccentric visual ensues.&nbsp;Offbeat and irreverent in its style, it's a perfect visual introduction to the artist (for those who have the track in their heads all day long, but may not know the person behind it yet) and it's a promise of more fun to come in future releases.

Lonesound's epic pop sound lends itself very well to Matt Houghton's spacious, quaint and heartwarming tale. The video really tries to visualise the great wide rural expanse that is 'The Great Outdoors' and echoes feelings of loneliness and ageing, but also companionship, beauty and playing a really good game of tennis.
The video follows elderly man Clive as he journeys across the English countryside to deliver a mystery box. Neatly packed for his holiday for one, he travels along country lanes in his clapped-out yellow car, overcoming break-downs, punctures and the English weather to reach his destination. 
"When Lonesound approached me about making a video for the title track of his new EP I was really drawn to its sense of nostaglia and I wanted to make something that expressed that in one way or another. With a very meagre budget to play with, the idea for The Great Outdoors was to tell a simple, unpretentious story about a man on a journey across the English countryside. Naturally, we shot most of the video in Wales."

In what appears at first to be a homage to the iconic Peter Murphy TV ad for Maxell tape back in the early 80s, David Higgs lets his imagination run riot with this excellent twisting, turning and ever-evolving promo for Zulu Winter's Key To My Heart. 
Filmed on a carefully built three-sided set for each 'scene' and using the Cyclops Motion Control rig, the camera constantly orbits the set through the entire video giving the appearance that it is one continuous shot...

Glasvegas get ready to unleash their highly anticipated second album Euphoric Heartbreak and having already made a trailer for the album, Jamie Roberts has directed the promo to the compelling first single. 
Here Roberts explains the ideas behind the production: "After making the <a href="http://www.promonews.tv/2011/02/18/glasvegas%E2%80%99-euphoric-heartbreak-album-trailer-by-jamie-roberts/" target="_blank">trailer</a>for Euphoric Heartbreak, Glasvegas invited me to get involved on Euphoria, Take My Hand. James and I chatted about the video ideas and stuff in general on several occasions - Depeche Mode dressing up as kings, Wings of Desire, Santa Monica and the benefits of combining Diet Vimto with a fried dinner.... James wanted to do something that wasn't literal or instantly predictable as a Glasvegas piece, whilst still in keeping with their aesthetic. They are very aware of being pigeonholed like many bands do in these none so uncertain times.
"We tried to feature the band but reinforce these sequences with abstract images - a non-narrative, I think they call it, 'evoking a feeling' at music video seminars. Hopefully that feeling is good. I'd definitely love to work with Glasvegas again, it's a real pleasure to work with such nice people. They took the time to thank the whole crew after, and that means a lot. The kind of people you'd want to go for a pint with."

To help build anticipation for the forthcoming second album from Glasvegas (Euphoric Heartbreak, out on April 4th), Jamie Roberts has directed an excellent and exciting album trailer.
A series of eclectic, dramatic, fast moving and slo-mo imagery make up the four-minute montage backed by music from the album. Jamie's also directing the promo for first single Euphoria Take My Hand - currently in post production.

Archer's Mark is a newly formed production company, founded by Steve Jamison and Mike Brett who have a background in directing drama shorts. The company's first video, directed by Jamison, is for the up-and-coming Steers, and features actress Vicky McClure (This is England, Filth and Wisdom) as the eponymous Julia. 
And you can tell she's not happy with her boyfriend by the ear-bash she gives him just for trying to put up a bloody Ikea wardrobe. 
But hang on, that's no ordinary Ikea wardrobe...
