It was another bumper month for video releases, and here is our round-up of the videos we featured in May.
It was a month that showed the value of extended creative partnerships: the momentous return of Kendrick Lamar, and two new videos directed by Kendrick and longterm collaborator Dave Free; the spectactular reunion of whipsmart Belgian pop star Angèle with Aube Perrie; and Gustaf Holtenäs creating an other animated tour de force for Black Midi.
Brock was reunited with Sam Fender for his latest video, Luke Monaghan resumed his longstanding relationship with Sam Smith, and Margo Bowman was on directing duties again with Charlotte Dos Santos. Dir. X's series of vids for Knucks was also featured this month, and KC Locke notched another video for Pip Millett. There was a second bombastic collab between Todrick Hall and Roy Raz; and the latest team-up of Leeds post-punk band Yard Act with James Slater - featuring the surprise appearance of top thesp David Thewlis.
It was not all going with the tried-and-tested. George Ezra shines in an alternative Bonnie & Clyde-style romp with Isaac Ravishankara; and Kasabian embrace AI with Rawtape.
