A unique talent who revelled in absurd humour - channelled through music videos that took his ideas to a grand scale. The late Oliver Tree was an iconoclastic pop star - and much more.

Oliver had a real talent for the developing one comic idea to ridiculous lengths - in his brilliantly produced, self-directed music videos.

So together with his own distinctive look - a developing reaction to pop star conventions of attractiveness - it puts his music videos into a grand tradition of cinematic comedy. There's something a bit of the silent movies about Oliver Tree's videos. 

His death in the helicopter crash this week that also claimed the lives of director Lucas Vignole and Youtuber 'Gaspi', is an awful tragedy. But what a legacy he has left. Time to lose yourself in the brilliant absurdity of his music videos...
