Music Video Preservation Society returns to the Prince Charles Cinema this Thursday (August 6th) with a special show, celebrating the greatest videos by artists signed to London Records in the 80s and 90s - including Bananarama, Bronski Beat, Fine Young Cannibals, Goldie, Orbital and Shakespears Sister (pictured).MVPS host (and Promonews editor) David Knight will be presenting iconic videos directed by Sophie Muller, Peter Care, Bernard Rose, Dawn Shadforth, Philippe DeCouflé and more.On the list is the Peter Care-directed video for Fine Young Cannibals' Good Thing - not to be missed on the big screen - and the two videos that Rose directed for Bronski Beat. Special guests on the show are two authors and journalists with a special interest and knowledge of London Records and their eclectic roster of artists: Siân Pattenden, writer and presenter of the Hit That Perfect Beat podcast, documenting the label's history; and fashion and pop culture expert Katie Baron, on the cross-pollination of pop and fashion through the label’s artists and their videos.The MVPS London Records special is at 8.30pm on Thursday, August 6th at the Prince Charles Cinema, central London.
